Abstract

a presente invenção refere-se a uma unidade de bomba para alimentar com combustível, preferencialmente combustível diesel, um motor de combustão interna; sendo que a unidade de bomba (1) compreende: uma cabeça (4) dentro da qual um cilindro (12) que se estende ao longo de um eixo geométrico (a1) é formado; um pistão de bombeamento (5) que se estende ao longo do eixo geométrico (a1) e acoplado de modo deslizante ao cilindro (12); um orifício atravessante (13) que se estende do cilindro (12) em direção ao exterior da unidade de bomba (1); uma câmara de absorção (8) que se comunica com o cilindro (12) através do orifício (13); uma válvula de absorção (7) que controla o fluxo de combustível da câmara de absorção (8) para o orifício (13); uma tampa (23; 123; 223) que é conectada à cabeça (4), é disposta do lado oposto ao pistão de bombeamento (5) e pode ser fixada seletivamente ao longo de uma superfície externa (25) da cabeça (4) de modo a fechar a câmara de absorção (8) em um lado.
