Abstract
a presente invenção refere-se a um método para produzir grânulos porosos de hidroxiapatita deficiente em cálcio que compreende as seguintes etapas: (a) submeter os grânulos de sulfato de cálcio anidro (csa), sulfato de cálcio di-hidratado (csd) ou sulfato de cálcio hemi-hidratado (csh), os grânulos compreendendo poros interconectados com um diâmetro médio mínimo de 3 mícrons, a uma primeira incubação em uma solução aquosa alcalina tendo um valor de ph menor do que 10 e contendo íons de po43-; (b) submeter os grânulos a uma segunda incubação em uma solução aquosa alcalina tendo um valor de ph maior do que 10 e opcionalmente íons de po43-; (c) filtrar e secar os grânulos porosos obtidos de hidroxiapatita deficiente em cálcio; e onde (d) a soma das quantidades de íons de po43- presentes na primeira e na segunda incubação é ao menos tão grande quanto a quantidade de íons de so42- dos grânulos usados para a etapa (a). os grânulos porosos de hidroxiapatita deficiente em cálcio obtidos pela invenção podem ser usados intencionalmente como veículos para substâncias biologicamente ativas, em particular, para proteínas.
