Abstract

resumo “processo para efetuar a troca iônica de uma membrana de zeólito suportada em alfa-alumina” a presente invenção se refere a efetuar a troca iônica de uma membrana de zeólito suportada em alfa-alumina (p.ex., um zeólito mfi, um zeólito lta, ou um zeólito fau), o qual processo compreende: a) colocar a membrana que, tem uma primeira superfície e uma segunda superfície espaçadas uma da outra, a primeira e a segunda superfícies definindo entre elas a membrana, em uma aparelhagem de troca iônica de maneira tal que a primeira superfície esteja em contato com uma solução de troca iônica e a segunda superfície esteja em contato com um espaço de vapor que esteja conectado com uma fonte de pressão reduzida, b) atuar a fonte de pressão reduzida de maneira a criar um diferencial de pressão entre a primeira e a segunda superfícies de membrana de pelo menos 0,405 x 105 pascals (pa) (0,4 atmosfera); e c) manter o diferencial de pressão sob condições de troca iônica durante um período de tempo suficiente para efetuar a troca de um íon contido na solução de troca iônica por um íon na membrana de zeólito em uma quantidade que seja maior que uma quantidade de troca iônica alcançada usando uma aparelhagem que coloque a segunda superfície em contato com um solvente líquido que esteja a uma pressão de pelo menos 1,013 x 105 pa (uma atmosfera) e a primeira superfície em contato com a solução de troca iônica a uma pressão de pelo menos 2,026 x 105 pascals (duas atmosferas) de maneira a estabelecer um diferencial de pressão entre as duas superfícies de pelo menos 1,013 x 105 pascals (uma atmosfera), mantendo o diferencial de pressão durante o mesmo período de tempo, e usando a mesma solução de troca iônica e a mesma membrana de troca iônica, a quantidade maior de troca iônica produzindo uma membrana de troca iônica melhorada na qual uma razão de íons que entra na membrana da solução para os íons que deixam a membrana que é maior que aquela da membrana ionicamente trocada preparada com a segunda superfície em contato com o solvente líquido. 2/2
