Abstract
resumo sistema e método para determinar a eficácia de um antibiótico em animais com doença respiratória usando uma análise de auscultação é proporcionado um sistema e um método para o diagnóstico de doenças respiratórias em animais usando técnicas de auscultação. os sons pulmonares de animais são gravados e armazenados como dados digitalizados. os algoritmos são aplicados aos dados produzindo uma resposta indicativa da saúde do animal. outro método determina a eficácia dos antibióticos administrados aos animais com base nas relações observadas entre as categorias de pontuação pulmonar obtidas a partir da auscultação. uma comparação é feita entre as populações de amostra de ani-mais que receberam diferentes classificações de antibióticos, e estes dados são comparados as categorias de pontuação pulmonar observadas para cada um dos animais que receberam os antibióticos. uma análise estatística é conduzida para confirmar as diferenças nas taxas de casos de fatalidade entre as categorias de pontuação pulmonar. as diferenças insignificantes nas taxas de mortalidade atra-vés de uma faixa de categorias de pontuação pulmonar indicam que o antibiótico particular administrado não é eficaz, enquanto que uma taxa de fatalidade reduzida associada com pontuações pulmonares menores indicam um nível de eficácia dos antibióticos.
