Abstract
SISTEMA DE DETECÇÃO DE COMPOSTO GAMA-NÊUTRON O presente invento proporciona um detector de raios gama-nêutrons à base de misturas de absorventes de nêutrons térmicos que produzem emissão de partículas pesadas na sequência de captura térmica. Em uma configuração, detector baseado em B-10 é usado em uma geometria de placa de eletrôdo paralela que integra folhas moderadoras nêutrons, como, por exemplo, polietileno, na parte de trás das placas de eletrôdos para termalizar os nêutrons e, em seguida, detectá-los com alta eficiência. O moderador pode também ser substituído por folhas de cintiladores plásticos vistas com uma grande área de tubo fotomultiplicador para a detecção de raios gama também.
