Abstract
resumo “filmes retardadores de meios efetivos com redução da birrefringência espacialmente seletiva” trata-se de um filme retardador que fornece um primeiro retardo da luz e pode ser processado termicamente em uma ou mais áreas selecionadas de modo a fornecer um segundo retardo da luz na(s) área(s) selecionada(s). o filme retardador pode ter uma característica de absorção tal que o processamento térmico seja executado pela exposição seletiva do filme a um feixe de radiação adequado. o filme retardador é composto por uma pilha de camadas ultrafinas contíguas configurada para fornecer um meio óptico efetivo para a luz visível. a luz visível propaga-se através da pilha como em um meio efetivo, com índices de refração ao longo dos eixos principais x, y e z. ao menos algumas das camadas ultrafinas possuem birrefringência intrínseca, e os índices de refração da pilha são funções dos índices de refração intrínsecos das camadas ultrafinas constituintes. o processamento térmico é executado de modo que a integridade estrutural da pilha de camadas ultrafinas não seja alterada substancialmente na(s) área(s) processada(s). 1 / 1
