Abstract
"FILME POLARIZANTE". São providos filmes de multicamadas, que exibem uma aparência colorida quando vistas em um ângulo oblíquo, como resultado de uma ou mais faixas de reflexão (32b, 32c) da região visível do espectro. Os filmes, entretanto, fornecem faixas de reflexão não substanciais (32a) nas regiões visíveis ou próximas do infravermelho, para luz normalmente incidente ao filme. Os filmes podem ser tornados transparentes na incidência normal para uma cor projetada arbitrária, em um ângulo oblíquo de incidência, sem necessariamente tornarem-se ciano. Estas propriedades podem ser conseguidas com uma construção de filme de interferência de multicamadas, com apropriada seleção de espessuras de camadas e índices refrativos.
