sistema e método para inspecionar uma tubulação submarina a presente invenção é dirigida a um sistema e um método para inspecionar uma tubulação submarina. o método compreende a etapas de: detectar um defeito ao longo da tubulação submarina usando um módulo de método de tomografia magnetométrica {mtm) submarina adjacente à tubulação submarino; e determinar uma posição do módulo de mtm submarino, para deste modo determinar a posição do defeito. o método compreende adicionalmente determinar a posição do módulo de mtm submarino relativa a um navio de superfície; e determinar uma posição absoluta do navio de superfície.
