Abstract

"GRANULADOS PREENCHIDOS COM POLIETILENO DE PESO MOLECULAR ELEVADO OU ULTRA-ELEVADO E PROCESSO PARA SUA PREPARAçãO". A presente invenção refere-se a granulados contendo polietileno com peso molecular elevado e/ou ultra-elevado e preenchedores e/ou materiais de reforço. Como polietilenos com peso molecular elevado ou ultra-elevado são empregados quaisquer homopolímeros e copolímeros, desde que esses apresentem um peso molecular elevado ou ultra-elevado e derivem-se de etileno como monómero, opcionalmente em combinação com outros hidrocarbonetos etilênicos insaturados ou suas combinações. Preenchedores preferidos são fuligem, grafite, pós metálicos como pó de alumínio, pós minerais como wolastonita. Agentes de reforço preferidos são fibras de vidro, fibras de carbono ou fibras metálicas. O teor de materiais preenchedores e/ou materiais de reforço no granulado de acordo com a invenção e usualmente de até 60% em peso, relativo ao granulado. é preferido uma faixa de 0,1 até 40% em peso. A invenção refere-se também a um processo para preparação de granulados contendo polietileno HMW e/ou UHMW e a materiais preenchedores e/ou materiais de reforço com o auxílio de um extrusor, de preferência um extrusor helicoidal, cujo parafuso helicoidal é disposto em uma zona de alimentação, uma zona de conversão e uma zona de produção, e cujo parafuso helicoidal pelo menos na zona de conversão é como parafuso de barreira.
