Abstract
"MéTODO E APARELHO MELHORADOS PARA A SEPARAçãO CONTìNUA DE FLUIDOS BIOLóGICOS EM COMPONENTES". A presente invenção refere-se a sistemas, métodos e aparelhos para a melhoria da produção para a separação de componentes de fluidos, por exemplo, fluidos biológicos ou sensíveis, tal como sangue, e a melhoria da produção de componente, por exemplo, a partir de sangue total doado pela separação de seus componentes por densidade em um cesto de centrífuga com um lúmen multiaxial. O aparelho, o sistema e o método eliminam a necessidade de uma separação tipo de batelada do sangue e podem reduzir o tempo necessário para o tratamento de pacientes que sofram de doenças ou condições mediadas por células T ou leucócitos para menos de 70 minutos. Em um aspecto, a invenção é um cesto de centrífuga (10) que compreende um alojamento externo (100); um núcleo (200); uma placa inferior (300); um lúmen (400); um primeiro canal de cesto (420) no referido lúmen (400) para o fluxo de entrada do referido fluido (800); um segundo canal de cesto (410) para a remoção do primeiro componente de fluido separado (810); e um terceiro canal de cesto (740) para a remoção de um segundo componente de fluido separado (820).
