Abstract

"APARELHO CORTA-FOGO INTUMESCENTE". A presente invenção refere-se a um aparelho corta-fogo intumescente utilizado nas aplicações de transpassamento para vedar seletivamente uma abertura através da qual uma barreira de construção tal como uma parede, um piso ou um teto tem cabos ou outros membros de penetração se estendendo através dela. O aparelho veda efetivamente esta barreira em resposta a um fogo para impedir uma transmissão indesejada de fogo através das áreas de barreira de construção convencionais. O aparelho inclui uma luva com duas almofadas intumescentes posicionadas dentro dela. Pelo menos uma das almofadas tem uma seção central curva arqueada para ser pressionada contra a outra almofada intumescente para definir entre elas uma área de confinamento para a fixação de cabos centralmente localizados nela dentro de uma garganta de vedação dinamicamente ajustável definida entre elas.
