Abstract

A invenção refere-se a uma composição de "áGUA POTáVEL FORTIFICADA". Com minerais e/ou vitaminas, inclusive ferro e zinco, apresentando melhorias quanto a cristalinidade, cor e sabor. A água potável contém ao menos 5 ppm de um composto de ferro biodisponível que é estável à oxidação na composição de água potável, sem precisar de quantidades excessivas de agentes redutores ou de corantes e sabores botânicos e/ou de frutas para mascarar o gosto ou retrogosto metálico do ferro. Vitaminas como vitamina A, vitamina C, vitamina E e as vitaminas do complexo B podem opcionalmente ser adicionadas à água potável. é descrito um método para fortificação de água potável com certos compostos biodisponíveis de zinco e ferro, sem produção de claridade, cor, gosto ou retrogosto metálico indesejáveis.
