Abstract

"MéTODO PARA REALIZAR CRISTALIZAçãO, E, APARELHO". Cristais pequenos são fabricados por misturação de uma solução de uma substância desejada com um anti-solvente em um misturador vórtice fluídico em que o tempo de residência é menor que 1 segundo, por exemplo 10 minutos. O líquido dentro do misturador vórtice fluídico (12) é exposto à ação dos ultrassons de elevada intensidade emitidos por um transdutor (20, 22) em ou sobre a parede do misturador, ou acoplado a um conduto suprindo líquido para o misturador. A solução se torna muito rapidamente supersaturada, e o ultrassom pode induzir a criação de um número muito elevado de núcleos para o crescimento do cristal. Cristais pequenos, por exemplo menores que 5 <109>m, são formados que podem ser de um tamanho apropriado para uso em inaladores.
