Abstract
"PROCESSO DE USINAGEM MECâNICA E QUìMICA DE ACABAMENTO SUPERFICIAL". A invenção descrita aqui mostra um processo de usinagem mecânica e química e de acabamento superficial. Um revestimento de conversão é formado sobre a superfície de uma peça de trabalho e é removido através de um movimento relativo com uma ferramenta, desse modo expondo-se a peça de trabalho a uma reação adicional com o produto químico ativo. Baixas forças mecânicas são usadas, de modo que a deformação plástica, a resistência ao cisalhamento, a resistência à tração e/ou a temperatura de degradação térmica da peça de trabalho não sejam excedidas. Uma vez que o processo de usinagem mecânica e química e de acabamento superficial requer pouca força e/ou velocidade de contato para a remoção do revestimento de conversão, a massa do equipamento, a complexidade e o custo podem ser significativamente reduzidos, enquanto se aumentam, simultaneamente, a precisão e a acurácia de usinagem. A presente invenção se presta a uma taxa muito controlada de remoção de metal, e pode simplesmente acabar superficialmente a peça de trabalho ou, se desejado, pode acabar superficialmente a peça de trabalho simultaneamente com o processo de conformação e/ou de dimensionamento.
