Abstract

"MéTODO DE SOLDAGEM E DISPOSITIVO PARA BLINDAGEM DE SOLDA". Trata-se de um dispositivo de proteção contra solda para facilitar uma soldagem das extremidades de dois segmentos de tubulação dotados de revestimentos de fibra de vidro. O dispositivo de proteção contra solda inclui um material de isolamento aplicado sobre a superfície externa de um corpo de luva. O corpo de luva ajuda a estabelecer uma fenda de solda entre dois segmentos de tubulação. O material de isolamento reduz a transferência de calor das operações de soldagem aos revestimentos de fibra de vidro. Adicionalmente, é apresentado um método de união de dois segmentos de tubulação dotados de revestimentos de fibra de vidro, o qual inclui a conexão de uma primeira extremidade de um dispositivo de proteção contra solda a um primeiro segmento da tubulação e, a conexão de um segundo segmento da tubulação à segunda extremidade do dispositivo de proteção contra solda, sendo que o dispositivo de proteção contra solda fica em uma parte entalhada do revestimento de fibra de vidro. A seguir, os dois segmentos de tubulação são soldados um ao outro. O material de isolamento no dispositivo de proteção contra solda reduz a transferência de calor das operações de soldagem aos revestimentos de fibra de vidro.
