"AMIDOS CONVERTIDOS TERMICAMENTE E O MéTODO DE PREPARAçãO DESTES". A presente invenção fornece um processo de conversão ácida eficiente pelo qual amidos nativos e modificados podem ser tratados para originar produtos com baixa viscosidade e uma proporção mais elevada de compostos de peso molecular mais baixos que os correspondentes processos de conversão ácida aquosa. Tais amidos convertidos demonstram propriedades únicas e, conseq³entemente, são úteis em uma variedade de produtos.
