Abstract
"SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçõES DE DADOS SEM FIO TENDO CAPACIDADE PROLONGADA DE DESLIGAMENTO; MéTODOS E PRODUTOS DE PROGRAMA PARA O MESMO". Um sistema de comunicação de dados sem fio tem uma primeira estação ou unidade móvel que é ligada a uma segunda estação configurada como uma unidade de acesso para suportar comunicação de pacote, voz ou dados, onde os pacotes de voz são transmitidos no modo Modo Continuamente Atento (CAM) enquanto outros pacotes são armazenados temporariamente pelo ponto de acesso e retidos até que solicitados pela primeira estação enquanto em um modo de Associação de Economia de Energia (PSP). Um aparelho de monitoramento no ponto de acesso monitora todos pacotes transmitidos e classifica os pacotes para a unidade móvel de acordo com o modo CAM ou PSP. Pacotes de voz são enviados imediatamente para a unidade móvel. Outros pacotes são armazenados no ponto de acesso. A taxa de chegada de pacote pode variar durante a transmissão e devido a atrasos randómicos de pacote introduzidos pela característica de propagação e aparelho de processamento. A taxa de chegada de pacotes e os atrasos são levados em consideração pela primeira estação em um algoritmo para determinar e prolongar o período seguro normal no qual o receptor da estação pode ser desligado.
