Abstract

"COMPOSTOS PARA PAREDE LATERAL DE PNEUMáTICOS POSSUINDO RESISTêNCIA à FADIGA POR FLEXãO E COMPOSTO PARA BANDA DE RODAGEM POSSUINDO RESISTêNCIA AO RASGAMENTO". As paredes laterais de uma câmara pneumática possuem maior resistência às falhas devido à flexão dinâmica e à abrasão, e a banda de rodagem do pneumático possui melhor resistência ao rasgamento que com as composições de borracha convencionalmente usadas, quando as paredes laterais e as bandas de rodagens são formadas a partir de um composto possuindo uma maior proporção em peso de borracha sintética (SR) e uma menor proporção em peso de borracha natural (NR), e uma maior proporção em peso da SR propriamente consiste essencialmente de um polibutadieno de elevado teor de cis-1,4 possuindo arquitetura molecular definida. O PBD de elevado teor de cis-1,4 possui mais de 90 por cento de estrutura cis-, uma polidispersibilidade na faixa de a partir de cerca de 3 a 5, um peso molecular numérico médio Mn na faixa de 100.000 a 150.000 e um grau de ramificação na faixa de 2 a 3,5. O composto de parede lateral possui características bastante diferentes daquele constituído com um típico PBD de elevado teor de cis-1,4 comercialmente disponível; e a banda de rodagem possui excelente resistência ao rasgamento. As estruturas dendríticas das moléculas de PBD de elevado HI e teor de cis-1,4 possuem um efeito inesperadamente benéfico sobre as características de performance da parede lateral e da banda de rodagem, que são particularmente importantes em um pneumático automotivo de alta performance.
