Abstract

"TRATAMENTO DE SUPERFìCIE DE DISPOSITIVO MéDICO". A invenção provê um método para melhorar a umectabilidade de um dispositivo médico, compreendendo as etapas de: (a) prover um dispositivo médico formado a partir de uma mistura monomérica compreendendo um monómero hidrofílico e um monómero contendo silicone, onde o dito dispositivo médico não tenha sido submetido a um tratamento de oxidação de superfície; (b) contatar a superfície do dispositivo médico com uma solução compreendendo um agente umectante doador de próton, por meio da qual o agente umectante forma um complexo com o monómero hidrofílico sobre a superfície do dispositivo médico na ausência de uma etapa de tratamento por oxidação de superfície e sem a adição de um agente acoplamento.
