Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA PURIFICAçãO DE CORRENTES GASOSAS CONTENDO DIóXIDO DE CARBONO". Processo para remoção de pelo menos um composto selecionado de ácido acético, ésteres de acetato e aldeídos de uma fração gasosa compreendendo dióxido de carbono e pelo menos um composto, o processo compreendendo as etapas de (a) purificação em um purificador de pelo menos parte da fração gasosa para remoção de ácido acético, ésteres de acetato e/ou aldeídos e (b) remoção do dióxido de carbono do produto purificado da etapa (a) por absorção no carbonato de potássio aquoso e onde na etapa (a) a fração gasosa é purificada com água e ácido acético. o processo pode ser usado para remover ésteres de acetato, tais como, acetato de vinila e acetato de etila e aldeídos tais como acetaldeído. O processo pode ser usado em (i) na fabricação de acetato de vinila por reação de etileno, ácido acético e um gás contendo oxigênio em presença de um catalisador ou (ii) na oxidação catalítica de (a) etano e/ou (b) etileno para produzir respectivamente (a) ácido acético e/ou etileno e (b) ácido acético.
