Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "CONJUNTO SENSOR DE PESO PARA DETERMINAR O PESO DE UM OCUPANTE DE ASSENTO". Um sistema para medir o peso de um ocupante de assento é usado para controlar o deslocamento de airbag. O sistema inclui uma pluralidade de sensores de peso que possuem uma primeira extremidade montada num levantador de assento e uma segunda extremidade montada numa armação de assento ou peça de pista. Os sensores de peso possuem uma parte central flexível que se estende entre as primeira e segunda extremidades. Uma ranhura é formada numa das superfícies externas da parte central flexível para localizar tensão. Um conjunto de extensómetro cobrindo totalmente o vão está montado numa superfície de cada um dos sensores de peso, oposto à ranhura, para gerar um sinal de peso em resposta à medição de deflexão da parte central flexível. Um processador central determina o peso do ocupante de assento baseado nos sinais de peso, e um módulo de controle de airbag se comunica com o processador. O módulo de controle controla a força de deslocamento do airbag com base no peso do ocupante de assento.
