Abstract

"MéTODO PARA TRATAR A SUPERFìCIE DE UM DISPOSITIVO MéDICO DE SILICONE". A presente invenção provê um revestimento hidrofílico, oticamente límpido na superfície de um dispositivo médico de silicone sequencialmente submetendo a superfície da lente a polimerização com plasma em uma atmosfera contendo hidrocarboneto e então covalentemente ligando um polímero hidrofílico pré-formado à superfície do revestimento de carbono. A invenção é especialmente útil para formar um revestimento biocompatível em uma lente de contato de silicone.
