Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "EXPRESSãO DE SEDOHEPTULOSE 1,7 BISFOSFATASE EM PLANTAS TRANSGêNICAS". Sedoheptulose 1,7-bisfosfatase (SBPase) em uma enzima catalisando a reação convertendo a sedoheptulose 1,7-bifosfato em sedoheptulose 7-fosfato. Esta enzima é localizada no cloroplasto em folhas e caules. Super-expressão de SBPase em plantas transgênicas é fornecida a melhorar rendimento da planta aumentando capacidade biossintética do amido da planta em particular e produção de sacarose em geral. Variantes desreguladas das enzimas são também fornecidas.
