Abstract

"PROCESSO DE POLIMERIZAçãO DE ISOBUTENO". A presente invenção se refere a um processo de polimerização de isobuteno, onde uma propriedade P (viscosidade ou massa molecular média) do poliisobuteno produzido é mantida constante. A polimerização é conduzida continuamente em uma reator, que compreende uma fase de reação de líquido em ebulição em equilíbrio com uma fase gasosa, pela introdução contínua no reator de um catalisador e de uma mistura de alimentação de hidrocarboneto C4, que compreende o monómero, e pela retirada contínua do reator da fase de reação de líquido. O processo compreende a determinação de um valor alvo V da pressão parcial, PiC4, do isobuteno na fase gasosa do reator correspondente ao valor desejado da propriedade P, em virtude de uma relação empírica estabelecida de antemão entre a propriedade P do poliisobuteno produzido e PiC4. Durante a polimerização, PiC4 é medido e um valor corrigido de PiC4, (PiC4)c, é calculado e é mantido constante em torno do valor alvo V, atuando-se a sobre a vazão Qc do catalisador e/ou sobre a vazão Qh da mistura de alimentação de hidrocarboneto C4.
