Article moulé par expansion en une résine thermoplastque, produit cependant que l'ont maintient des particules prémoussées auxquelles on a imprimé une pression interne, toujours sous pression à partir du moment où on leur a appliqué cette pression interne jusqu'à leurs moulage, de façon à éviter une chute de pression internes des particules. Le procédé et l'appareil suivant l'invention produisent des articles à variations dimensionnelles minimisées. En outre, les articles obtenus possèdent un bon aspect surfacique et de bonnes propriétés.
