MACHINE AGRICOLE.
- leur poids et leur encombrement sont tels qu'ils exigent une grande puissance motrice pour les faire mouvoir sur terrain normal et leur utilisation est presque impossible en terrain détrempé, condition de travail qui n'est pas rare ;
- la construction classique prévoit que les opérations d'arrachage et de ramassage prennent place après le passage des roues porteuses avant, donc avec le risque de détruire ou abimer par l'action des dites roues une partie de la récolte ;
à la régularité de profondeur de pénétration dans le sol des éléments arracheurs ;
- elle comporte au moins deux châssis porteurs distincts reliés entreeux par un système tel que les mouvements, autres que la traction ou poussée, de l'un des châssis ne sont pas directement ressentis par le ou les autres ; l'un des châssis précités supportant les dispositifs de traitement du produit au sol, un autre supportant les moyens de stockage du dit produit par exemple une trémie ;

AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY.
The present invention relates to an agricultural machine and more particularly to a combined agricultural machine, that is to say
performing multiple operations.
It is known in agriculture to use machines which perform several operations on a given product.
The best known to the general public are the combine harvesters,
harvesters of potatoes, beets, or other tubers.
The rest of our description will mainly focus on
the beet harvest, but this is done only for the purpose of clarity in order to better define the scope of the invention and is in no way limiting as to the possible fields of application of the
said invention.
Combined machines of this type include at least two sets of drive wheels, a power unit and, from front to rear, a leaf stripper, strippers and strippers,
a transport device in a horizontal movement then another transport device in an upward direction for example an elevator conveyor and finally a hopper for storing the harvested product.
It is known that these machines are very bulky due to
the multiplicity of workstations where the beet successively undergoes several operations.
The main problems with this type of machine are:
- their weight and size are such that they require great power to move them on normal ground and their use is almost impossible in soggy ground, working condition which is not uncommon;
- the conventional construction provides that the lifting and picking operations take place after the passage of the front carrying wheels, therefore with the risk of destroying or damaging by the action of said wheels part of the crop;
- the classic machines are built on a single chassis carrying the systems intended to harvest the beet and also
the hopper for storage thereof; this arrangement has the major drawback that the aforementioned harvesting systems see their relative position with respect to the ground be influenced by the effects that the hopper or the movements of the load thereof have on said carrier frame. or it is known than
the quality of the lifting work, among others, is directly linked
the regularity of the depth of penetration into the ground of the lifting elements;
- conventional machines also have the significant disadvantage of being difficult to handle, which is very important in the case of cramped or poorly proportioned fields.
The object of the present invention is to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks by simple means used to design a combined agricultural machine as described below.
In the following, the general term "machine" will be used to denote any combined agricultural machine as defined above.
The machine, object of the present invention, comprising inter alia the means necessary for harvesting, possibly including systems accessory to this harvesting; means for moving said machine, for example on wheels; means of control, direction and control of the various organs; etc ... is essentially characterized in that it exhibits at least one of the features listed below, namely:
- It comprises at least two separate supporting frames connected between them by a system such that the movements, other than traction or thrust, of one of the frames are not directly felt by the other (s); one of the aforementioned chassis supporting the devices for treating the product on the ground, another supporting the means for storing said product, for example a hopper;
devices for transporting the product from its removal from the ground to
its storage, for example, in the aforementioned hopper and this being able to accommodate the relative movements of the different chassis in question; - It has a configuration such that the elements which treat the product on the ground are located so as to meet the product before the passage in the same place of the first load wheel or the first set of wheels or other support system of the support frame of the above elements .
- Said machine comprises a device which continuously or not adjusts the relative position of the elements responsible for treating the product on the ground.
According to a preferred embodiment of the machine, object of the invention, it comprises two chassis connected together by
a system such as the base of the first chassis is not directly dependent on the second.
The above modality has the effect of obtaining greater stability of the elements situated at the front of the machine such as, for example, the leaf stripper and the lifting elements.
According to another embodiment of a machine in accordance with the invention, the aforementioned elements responsible for treating the product on the ground are mounted on a secondary chassis which is fixed by a system suitable for the so-called main carrier so that a device with jacks located between the secondary chassis and the main chassis is able to modify the relative positions of the two aforementioned chassis and this as a function of the information given by a device, preferably a feeler, which analyzes the configuration of the ground.
According to another embodiment of the machine, object of the invention, the transport of the harvested product from the carrying frame relating to the ground treatment to the carrying frame of the hopper
uses a basket conveyor whose upward stroke is inclined to the vertical and constructed in such a way that stones, glued mud, earth, etc. can escape from the aforementioned baskets and fall back to the ground.
According to yet another embodiment of the machine, object of the present invention, the transport of the harvested product to the hopper implements a device of the worm, conveyor belt or similar means type comprising a system capable of enabling it adapt to the respective movements of the chassis without necessarily causing the transport system to stop operating.
According to a preferred embodiment of the preceding modality, the transport system comprises an articulation device such as universal joints, pivots, hinges or similar known devices.
According to a preferred embodiment of the machine, object of the present invention, the connection system between the two chassis of the machine is formed by two joints, one of vertical axis and the other horizontal.
Thanks to this arrangement, the front wheel train no longer undergoes the influence of the torsion and imbalance caused by the rear loading part and this particularly during operation on the field.
A particular embodiment of the invention is described below
using a nonlimiting example and referring to the drawings in
<EMI ID = 1.1>
plan, Figures 3 and 4 being respectively elevational views
and in plan of the front part carrying the elements for treating the product on the ground and the device for regulating the relative position
of the secondary chassis relative to the main chassis,
In Figures] and 2, the front of the machine shows:
the depth gauge wheel 54 of the leaf stripper 10, the stripper - scraper elements 12, mounted on a movable chassis 14 pivoted
<EMI ID = 2.1>
the power unit with transmission 20, the front axle 24 with wheels
22 as well as the carrier-elevator assembly 26 with baskets with conveyor screw 28 with cardan joints 80.
The rear part of the machine comprises a storage hopper 30 supported by a rear axle 34 with wheels 32.
According to the invention, - provision is made between the front part
and the rear part an intermediate part 40 which can pivot
about a vertical axis 42 relative to the independent chassis 36
of the front part and bearing on a horizontal axis 44 located in the lengthwise direction of the machine and on which is mounted the independent frame 38 of the rear part of the machine, allowing the latter to tilt around this horizontal axis .
The agricultural machine thus produced also becomes particularly handy on the move. Steering guidance can advantageously take place hydraulically using
two double-acting cylinders 70 mounted between the independent frames
36 and 38 and on either side of the vertical axis of rotation 42.
In order to further increase the efficiency of the machine, the leaf stripper 10 is supported by arms 50 in a pivot 51 located very close
from the center of gravity of the leaf stripper so as to. minimize the loads on the depth gauge wheel 54. On the other hand, the working height of the movable chassis 14 is advantageously adjusted by a feeler 60 in the form of a pad which by pivoting about an axis 62 causes electrical contacts at 64, as seen in Figures 3 and 4.
These electrical pulses are sent in a known manner
per se towards an electrically controlled hydraulic distributor 66
in connection with the hydraulic cylinder 68 intended to modify the position
