la figure 1 est une vue de profil d'une aiguille d'amenée selon l'invention; la figure 2 représente à plus grande échelle la partie indiquée en F2 à la figure 1; la figure 3 est une vue en plan de l'aiguille représentée à la figure 2; la figure 4 est une vue d'about de l'aguille selon la flêche F4 à la figure 2; la figure 5 est une coupe selon la ligne V-V à la figure 3; la figure 6 est une coupe selon la ligne VI-VI à la figure 2;
la figure 7 est une vue de profil d'une aiguille de tirage, destinée à coopérer avec l'aiguille d'amenée des figures 1-6; la figure 8 représente à plus grande échelle la partie indiquée en F8 à la figure 7; la figure 9 est une vue en plan de l'aiguille représentée à la figure 8; la figure 10 est une coupe selon la ligne X-X de la figure 8 ;

"Pair of needles for rapier looms" The present invention relates to a pair of needles for rapier looms of the type in which a feed needle introduces the weft thread into the shed to the middle of the latter where it is taken up. by a pulling needle.
We know of very many mechanisms of this type. One of the most important difficulties encountered in their realization is constituted by the needles or pliers. The latter must indeed meet particularly severe and often contradictory conditions.
Thus, the needles must be as light as possible but sufficiently rigid to marry with great precision in the center of the leaf, in order to guarantee the transfer of the weft thread from one needle to another.
The wire must be hooked up without risking that the latter - whatever its nature and / or its composition, will break or be cut.
The weft thread must nevertheless be severed on the feed side, as soon as it is gripped by the feed needle.
Finally, the needles must be shaped so
to avoid interference with the warp threads, even
for crowds of very low aperture.
The aim of the invention is to provide a pair of needles, respectively supply and draw, meeting the conditions listed above, while being relatively economical to manufacture.
For this purpose, a pair of needles according to the invention is characterized in that each needle comprises a needle body intended to be fixed on a rapier, these two bodies being identical, the supply needle comprising a head removably attached to the body corresponding to this head comprising, inter alia: a lancet-shaped tip head body; a wire clamping blade, applied against the head by a lever articulated on the latter and subjected to the action of a spring, a rear wire guide substantially in the shape of a U; and a knife carried by the head, on the other side of said thread guide.
The pulling needle, for its part, comprises a head removably attached to the corresponding body and comprising, among other things: a head body with a profiled tip and a U-shaped cross section and a tilting clamp pivoted on said body. head and provided with a hook-shaped tip, normally applied against said profiled tip
of the head body by the action of a spring.
For greater clarity, an exemplary embodiment of the invention is described below by way of illustration and not restrictively, reference being made to the accompanying drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 is a side view of a feed needle according to the invention; FIG. 2 shows on a larger scale the part indicated at F2 in FIG. 1; Figure 3 is a plan view of the needle shown in Figure 2; FIG. 4 is an end view of the needle along arrow F4 in FIG. 2; Figure 5 is a section on the line V-V in Figure 3; Figure 6 is a section along the line VI-VI in Figure 2;
FIG. 7 is a side view of a drawing needle, intended to cooperate with the feed needle of FIGS. 1-6; FIG. 8 shows on a larger scale the part indicated at F8 in FIG. 7; Figure 9 is a plan view of the needle shown in Figure 8; FIG. 10 is a section taken along the line X-X of FIG. 8;
