Abstract

The system includes (a) an inspection zone incorporating a system for rotating the bottles, (b) a system for establishing a punctate light beam suitable for vertically scanning in the inspection zone, (c) a light pick-up in the inspection zone and a system for generating an electrical inspection signal corresp to the quantity of light traversing the bottle and incident on the pick-up, as well as a system for comparing this signal with an electrical acceptance signal, (d) a system for generating a rejection signal when the intensity of the light traversing the bottle is less than a pre-determined value measured by the acceptance signal and the improvement whereby, (e) a system is provided for varying the acceptance signal as a function of the vertical position of the punctate light beam relative to the container.
