<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Fig. 3 est une coupe suivant 111-111 montrant le dé- tail d'un organe de verrouillage coulissant. ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

"PER? ECTIONNE! #NTS WITH SOAP DISH
The present invention relates to a soap holder device intended to be fixed, for example, near a washbasin in order to allow the user to soap his hands.
Wall-mounted soap holders are known which comprise a support provided with a fixed axis around which a detachably mounted soap can be engaged, this soap being specially molded on a tubular socket capable of being engaged on the axis of support.
This known device has various drawbacks from
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
in particular because it is relatively difficult and expensive to manufacture a soap molded on a tubular socket. In addition, the fixing on the support axis is generally provided by a screw which is inconvenient to handle and which experience shows that it is frequently lost.
The main object of the invention is to avoid these drawbacks by producing a device capable of using a removable soap produced at little cost and whose locking in place is carried out in addition, without requiring the use of tools, and without giving rise to the handling of parts that are in danger of losing.
The soap dish according to the invention comprises a holder intended to be fixed against a wall or the like for the purpose of retaining in an inclined orientation, a removably mounted soap, and it is mainly remarkable in that the soap is integral. an axis which projects from it at one end having an annular groove, this end being capable of being engaged in a cylindrical housing of the support, which is further provided with a. sliding or tilting transverse locking member which is engaged in the groove of the axis of the soap in order to maintain the latter in the position of use.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the soap is molded directly onto a plastic shaft which passes through it over its entire length.
The locking member is preferably formed of a ball which a radial spring pushes elastically into the housing of the support, so that it can be snapped into the groove of the soap shaft.
The appended drawing, given by way of example, will make it possible to better understand the invention, the characteristics which it predicts.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
feel and the benefits it is likely to provide:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a soap dish according to the invention.
Fig. 2 is an elevational view thereof in partial section.
Fig. 3 is a section on 111-111 showing the detail of a sliding locking member. ;
Fig. 4 is a section along 111-111 corresponding to! another variant embodiment on which the locking is provided by a rocking jumper shown here in the open position.
Fig. 5 corresponds to rod 4- after closing the locking jumper.
The soap dish shown in figs 1 to 3 comprises a base 1 which is preferably made of a piece of metal or plastic. This base is intended to be fixed to a wall or to any fixed support 2, by means of screws 3 engaged in the holes 4.
In the example shown, it is assumed that the base d @ plinth 1 had the shape of a curvilinear triangle. Furthermore, in front of this base protrudes a tubular sleeve 5 inside which is pierced a blind cylindrical housing 6. The geometric axis of this housing is inclined downwards, so as to define with the vertical plane of the base of the plinth II has an acute angle 7 preferably between 30 and 45.
Around the cylindrical housing 6 which opens outwardly at the free end of the sleeve 5, a transverse groove is made in which a U-profile locking collar 8 is capable of sliding.
The two branches of this jumper 8 define between them a stepped slot made in two different widths 9 and
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
10, respectively at the bottom of the groove and at the end. The width 10 is greater than or equal to the diameter 11 of the housing 6. On the contrary, the width 9 is less than this diameter 11, so that at this point the internal edges of the jumper 8 encroach on the housing 6.
To complete the assembly, and in particular to avoid any untimely release of the jumper 8 by sliding out of the base 1, its free end is preferably fitted with a transverse pin 12 put in place after assembly.
The device according to the invention is intended to present the user with a soap which has the particular feature of being molded around an axis 14, preferably made of plastic.
This pin has at one end a flat head 15 which is flush with the end face of the soap 13. Under this head, there are preferably radial ribs 16 which play the role of ren. strong, while completing the anchoring of the soap on the axis 14.
At its opposite end, the pin 14 projects out of the soap 13, and the protruding part has a diameter and a length enabling it to be inserted as exactly as possible into the cylindrical housing 6. Furthermore, provision is made on the part projecting from the axis 14, an annular peripheral groove 17 located at the level of the locking rider 8. The diameter at the bottom of the groove of the axis 14 is less than the width 9, which allows the corresponding narrow part of the jumper 8 to engage in this groove 17 when the soap is locked in place.
The operation is as follows
When the soap holder is in the position of use shown in rod 1 and 2, the soap 13 and the shaft 14 are locked in place by the jumper 8 which has been fully inserted into
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
the direction indicated in: rod 2 by arrow 18.
When the soap 12 is used up, it suffices to slide the jumper 8 in the opposite direction of the arrow 18, to release the pin 14 from the housing 6, which makes it possible to extract this pin from the base 1, to replace it with a together 13-14-9.
Shown in figs 4 and 5 is another possible embodiment of the means used to lock the pin 14, in the housing 6 of the support 1.
As previously, the pin 14 is provided with an annular groove 17, tan & is that at its level the sleeve 5 has a groove. However, this groove 19 involves more than half of the transverse surface of the penguin, and there is pivoted about a fixed axis 20, a locking jumper 21. The latter is cut from a plate so as to define a back 22 capable of connecting with the outer surface of the sleeve 5 when the device is in the position of use.
Furthermore, the lower face of the rider 21 is provided with a notch 23 with a V-shaped profile, the edges of which are capable of engaging in the groove 17 as shown in FIG. 5, when it is desired to lock the axis 14 in place. Finally, a finger 24 integral with the tilting jumper 21, protrudes in the locked position on the side of the sleeve 5. This finger 24 allows the user to lift the jumper 21 to release the pin 14.
The operation is similar to that which was described in the preceding variant, the switching of the jumper 21 taking place in the direction of arrow 25 (FIG. 4) or in the opposite direction.
EMI5.1
According to another embodiment pos: .i ->:;: ,, '':! :: - U'iE4 ;. ' the jumper 8 or 21 is replaced by a locking system formed of a ball projecting inside the cylindrical housing 6 of the sleeve 5. This ball is preferably pushed back by a
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
spring disposed radially inside the sleeve 5, while a screwed cap allows the spring to be banded. The ball portion protruding into the housing 6 then forms an elastically eclipsable stop finger capable of snapping into the groove 17 of the pin 14.
In particular, one would not depart from the scope of the invention by giving the base 1 any shape or aspect, provided that it includes a housing 6 having the desired inclination with respect to the plane of the support 2, wall or the like.
CLAIMS 1- Soap holder comprising a support intended to be fixed against a wall or the like with a view to retaining in an inclined orientation, a detachably mounted soap, characterized in that the soap is integral with an axis which protrudes from it through one end having an annular groove, this end being capable of being engaged in a cylindrical housing of the support, which is also provided with a sliding or tilting transverse locking member which is engaged in the groove of the axis of the soap in order to keep it in the position of use.
