L'invention a pour objet un ouvre-bottes permettant en particulier d'ouvrir les-bottes métalliques de conserves.
Les ouvre-bottes de ce genre connus jusqu'à présent permettent de découper le couvercle de la boîte par un couteau ou une molette tranchante appliquée verticalement ou légèrement inclinée sur le pourtour du couvercle à enlever contre un rebord réunissant ledit couvercle au corps de la botte.

De tels ouvre-bottes ne permettent pas :ouvrir facilement des boites présentant une section en forme de @olygone.
En effet, il n'est pas possible d'o@tenir une coupe nette aux coins des couvercles en forme de polygc.' .
Il y aura alors formation de bavures @t limailles dans ces endroits difficilement accessibles de la boi@e.
Le but de l'invention consiste essentiellement à remédier aux inconvénients précités et à procurer un dvre-boîtes permettant de couper d'une façon très nette sans bavureni limailles les cou- vercles de boites de conserves ou autres de toutes dimensions et de n'importe quelle forme.
A cet effet, l'ouvre-bottes suivant l'invention comprend un organe coupant; agissant, lans sa posi ion d'ut@lisation, sur la zone du couvercle de la botte à ouvrir la plus rapprochée du rebord de cette dernière entourant le couvercle, à partir @u côté intérieur de ce rebord vers l'extérieur de la botte, suivant un plan sensible- ment parallèle à ce couvercle ou légèrement incliné par rapport à ce dernier, de manière à refouler la tôle du bord supérieur de la boite contre la paroi latérale intérieure de celle-ci lors de la coupe du rebord et de l'enlèvement du couvercle par ledit organe.
Suivant une forme de réalisation avantageuse de l'objet de l'invention, l'ouvre-bottes comprend deux branches pouvant tourner à leurs extrémités autour d'un pivot, chacune de ces branches portant une molette, ces deux molettes étant situées du même côté des branches en regard l'une de l'autre et tournant chacune autour d'un axe parallèle au pivot des branches, une des molettes présentant un bord tranchant, l'autre molette formant la molette d'avance et présentant un organe d'entraînement, tel qu'un papillon solidaire de la molette, ces molettes étant destinées à s'appliquer de part et d'autre du rebord d'une boîte à ouvrir, dans un plan sensiblement parallèle au couvercle, la molette tranchante étant située à l'intérieur dudit rebord dans la position d'utilisation de l'ouvre-bottes.

@ L'ouvre-bottes représenté aux figures comprend deux branches 1 et 2, la branche 1 présentant une section en U et ayant l'allure d'un L, la branche 2 étant constituée d'une tige de section rectan- gulaire et étant articulée autour d'un pivot 3 entre les deux ailes latérales 4 et 5 de la jambe la plus courte de la branche 1.
Une molette tranchante 6 est fixée à la face extérieure de '' l'aile 5 de la branche 1 au moyen d'un pivot 7 traversant les deux 8 ailes 4 et 5, tandis qu'une molette d'avance/présentant une surface @ striée dans laquelle est prévu un évidement central circulaire 14 , destiné à recevoir le bord tranchant de la molette 6 destiné à rece- voir et à protéger ce bord lorsque l'ouvre-boites n'est pas utilisé, est montée sur la surface extérieure de la branche 2 située du même côté que l'aile 5 de la branche 1. Cette molette 8 est placée sur ladite surface de la branche 2 à la même hauteur que la molette 6 montée sur la branche 1 et est solidaire d'un pivot 9 traversant cette branche 2 de part en part.
Un papillon 11 est prévu sur l'extrémité libre de ce pivot et permet d'actionner la molette 8.
Le mode d'emploi de l'ouvre-bottes suivant l'invention est le suivant.
Comme il a été représenté à la figure 1, on pose l'ouvre- boîtes parallèlement au couvercle d'une botte 12 ou légèrement incliné

par rapport à celle-ci avec les molettes 6 et disposées de part et d'autre du rebord 13 surmontant la boite, 1 molette tranchante 6 étant disposée à l'intérieur de la courbe for@é par le rebord 13.
Ensuite, on rapproche les deux extrémités libre, des branches 1 et 2 l'une de l'autre, de manière à appliquer la molete d'avance 8 contre le côté extérieur du rebord 13. Il suffit alors on tourner au papillon 11 suivant le sens de la flèche 14 pour faire avouer l'ouvre-boîtes sur le rebord 13 suivant le sens de la flèche 15 ;: omettant ainsi de refouler la partie de tôle à proximité du rebord outre la paroi intérieure de la botte et de couper le couvercle @e plus près possible de ce rebord 13.
Grâce audit refoulement de la tôle on obtint une coupe très nette sans que des bavures puissent se présenter \ ce rebord 13.
La molette tranchante 6 placée horizontalement épouse rigoureusement la forme du rebord 13.
Il est bien entendu que l'invention n'est pas limitée à la forme de réalisation décrite et que bien des variâtes peuvent être envisagées sans sortir du cadre du présent brevet.
C'est ainsi que la forme des branches de rouvre-boîtes ainsi que le système permettant d'actionner la molette d'avance peuvent présenter une forme différente de celle représentée aux figures. ,
REVENDICATIONS.
