<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Une variante de l'invention consiste en ce que le patin soit guidé ou soutenu par un support fixé à l'orifice de sortie,. Ce support a donc pour but de maintenir le patin dé- passant dans le sens du produit pulvérisé sortant, à la position désirée;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

"Spray gun nozzle, in particular for seal materials".
The invention relates to a nozzle for a spray gun, in particular for gasket materials intended for filling joints of constructive bodies, with a non-round outlet opening. spray guns previously used customarily in construction work for sealing joints by injection of packing or gasket material
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
in these are provided with a nozzle adapted to the width of the joints. These nozzles have a round, rectangular or for example triangular oval outlet orifice.
To adapt to the different joints to be closed, it is always necessary to use a corresponding nozzle profile. Known nozzles for spray guns are generally made of metal or else of synthetic material. It is obvious that the outlet orifice of the rigid or practically rigid nozzle has the disadvantage that an adaptation to the dimensional tolerances, not continuous, of the joint to be closed is practically not possible. It is therefore often the case in use of the above known nozzles for spray guns that the orifice of the nozzle is larger or smaller than the seal.
For this reason, the seal is not perfectly filled or there is marginal soiling. Finally, the edges of the joints are often not united but rather "fringed" or broken, which is often the case, for example, with artificial stones. Apart from this, there are of course also artificial or natural stone panels for facades, the surface of which is not smooth, but well grained, ribbed or coarse.
In all of these cases, the known spray gun nozzle cannot be used with a rigid or weakly flexible orifice piece only, or it can only be used with the disadvantages! recites. Finishing or polishing with such nozzle orifices often cannot be avoided.
The invention is based on the problem of providing a spray gun nozzle with which the aforementioned disadvantages of the known embodiments do not occur.
This problem is solved by the fact that the outlet of the nozzle of the spray gun is made approximately in the shape of an egg or a drop and that in the
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
extension of the edge of the opening, in the direction of the outgoing sprayed product, there is a foot, a pad or the like of flexible material, which is wider than the widest part of the orifice Release.
Thanks to the shoe according to the invention, it is ensured that the drawbacks which result from the roughness, the bore of the joint, the cutouts or imprecise tolerances are eliminated, since the foot of flexible material "trailing" under The outlet not only penetrates with some cavity into the seal, but also sweeps the edges of the @ with elastic flexibility.
A variant of the invention consists in that the pad is guided or supported by a support fixed to the outlet orifice. The purpose of this support is therefore to keep the pad extending in the direction of the outgoing sprayed product, at the desired position;
Another embodiment consists in that the support consists of a plate of metal or similar material surrounding the outlet orifice. Contrary to the embodiment described above, therefore in the present case a plate is used on the mouth piece of the nozzle which is not directed only in the direction of the sprayed product. outgoing, but which surrounds to some extent on all sides the mouth piece of the nozzle.
The specified holder can be attached slightly above the part orifice to the nozzle and be folded down in the direction of the outgoing sprayed product, so that the tip or trailing edge of the plate is approximately in the plane of the ridge of the orifice.
Another embodiment of the invention consists in that the pad is constituted by an egg-shaped or drop-shaped part, made of rubber or synthetic material.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
thetic, which surrounds the outlet opening on all sides. The pad must therefore have an opening which offers at least the cross section of the outlet of the nozzle. The pad can be stretched and held under the effect of a tensile tension on appendages or protrusions of the plate, without there being any surface contact with the latter.
In this embodiment, another drawback of the known nozzle mouthpieces is avoided, which is that the seal is not completely or sufficiently deep filled, because the stuffing or seal material sticks when penetrating into the seal on the edge of the latter and can no longer penetrate deep enough, because from a certain depth the resistance of the mass adhering to the edges increases so strongly that the stuffing or seal material escapes towards the surface of the seal and there is formed in this place, in place of the desired concave shape, a convex surface.
Thanks to the embodiment just described of the invention, this drawback is totally excluded, because because of the shaping of the nozzle and of the pad, the seal is completely covered in front of and behind the orifice of. outlet and further that the pad, by virtue of its width greater than the width of the outlet orifice, effectively prevents escape of the stuffing or seal material. In this way, it is possible without difficulties and it is ensured with certainty that the gasket material can penetrate to a sufficient depth into the gasket.
Since, however, while the packing or gasket material must penetrate without the possibility of escape to the desired joint depth, there appears in the material itself an increased pressure which has the effect that even faces large pore joints are: completely filled,
In this way, one obtains the great advantage that a contact to. tal between the sealing material and the edges of the joint is e-
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
established and also maintained.
Since rigid outlet edges of the nozzle can easily be damaged and therefore the nozzle itself can be rendered unusable, the nozzle according to the invention provides the further advantage of a possibility of particularly easy replacement of "the mouthpiece of the nozzle", since it is obvious that the pad itself and possibly also the carrier can be easily replaced on the cylinder. nozzle.
By virtue of the nozzle according to the invention, the advantages are therefore obtained that marginal fouling and a wise finish of the joints are eliminated; ensuring a uniform concave shape of the seal surface and preventing escape and swelling of the stuffing or seal material; deep filling of the seal with packing material is ensured so that full contact between this packing material and the edges of the seal. Even with broken or "fringed" joint edges, smooth and tight joints are therefore obtained. In addition, the phenomena of wear or damage to the mouthpiece of the nozzle are easily compensated for by replacing the support and / or the pad.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description below, given by way of nonlimiting example and with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the fitting above a seal.
Figure 2 is a side elevational view, with some parts broken away, of the nozzle.
Figure 3 is a side elevational view of the nozzle.
Figure 4 is a plan view of the nozzle.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
Figure 5 is a detail view,
A joint 4 to be sealed between two building blocks 1 and 2, using a packing material 3, is covered by a nozzle 5 from which the packing or sealing material 3 can escape. The latter comes from a usual spray gun. The head of the nozzle 5 comprises a support 6, for example of metal, which is welded or brazed at a certain distance 7 from the edge 8 of the outlet orifice on the nozzle 5, for example at < * location 9. as can be seen in particular from Figure 2.
The support 6 made as a plate is @ at location 10, so that the rear edge 11 of @ @ is approximately in the plane of the edge 8.
The support 6 produced as a plate is slightly narrowed along the arrow 12 in the direction of spraying, which emerges in particular from FIG. 4, and it has on its rear edge an appendage 13 whose purpose will be described in more detail below.
The support 6 produced as a plate carries a pad 20, which is made, for example, of rubber or a similar elastic synthetic material. The pad 20 has at its extremity opposite to the direction of spraying 12, an opening or a hole 21 and it also has a large recess 22, the front section 23 of which has approximately the shape of the nettle orifice 24 of the sprayed product. In the direction of spraying, one recess 22 is extended, as is evident in particular from Figures 3 and 5. The hole 20 serves for the threading of the appendix 11 of the plate 6, so that the pad is perfectly held in the direction of the outgoing stuffing or sealing material.
In the direction of advance 12 of the spray nozzle, the plate 6 has another appendage 24, over which is rolled up the other end 26 of the pad 20. In this way, the pad 20 for example rubber is maintained
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
under a tensile tension between the appendages 11 and 25 of the plate 6 and it surrounds, as can best be understood from Figure 4, the outlet orifice 24, in such a way that the sprayed product - can exit without obstacles from the latter.
On the other side, the taut shoe is made in such a way that, as can be seen from Blur. - 1, it protrudes beyond the edges of joint 4 and it bulges out fa- slightly convex due to the pressure exerted on the spray gun. The convexity of the patir. 20 as a result: the concavity indicated above of the opissage mass or seal and furthermore it has the consequence that the near ion of the spray gun acts in the depth of the seal
As already indicated above, it is sufficient in itself to simply arrange in the direction of the outgoing pulverized product, a pad or foot of flexible material, for example of rubber or of a synthetic material known under the commercial name "Vulkolan". ".
This foot arranged in the direction of advance aorès the nozzle or the outlet of the latter has practically the same effect as that of the entire pad 20, even when the introduction of the stuffing material or The sealing in the joint cannot be achieved with the high precision obtainable with a pad according to the embodiment shown.
For the sake of completeness, however, it should still be mentioned that the shoe is made with the axis of the es mage (considered in the direction of advance of the latter), at an angle of 30 to 45, because It is precisely with this angular position that the distribution of the stuffing or sealing material and the smoothing of the latter immediately after the outlet orifice are best ensured.
