<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
Les détails de réalisation peuvent être modifiés, dans le domaine des équivalences techniques, sans s'écarter de l'invention;

There are already distribution cranes comprising a jib capable of rotating in a horizontal plane at a variable height. A trolley carrying the lifting cable then circulates on this boom. When rotating the boom around the body of the crane, it is possible, by a suitable displacement of the trolley, to serve all the points within a circumference of given radius corresponding to the maximum reach of the ,arrow'. If this crane is mounted on rails, this crane can then serve all the points located in a zone having for axis the axis of the rails
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The crane boom can rotate at the top of the mast, or the mast itself can rotate with the boom on the frame.
In this case, a distribution crane with a rotary mast is produced, and the invention relates more particularly to the latter type of crane.
In a crane of this type, four different movements can be used to reach any point in the aforementioned service area. You can move the crane on its rails. The mast and the boom can also be rotated.
You can also move the trolley on this boom, and finally you can control the lifting cable.
In the known constructions, a reducer actuated by a motor is provided at each -key points adequate to provide the necessary displacements; This solution is admissible in the case of large cranes. On the other hand, with cranes of small dimensions, this assembly proves to be too complex and too expensive.
One of the aims of the invention is to remedy this drawback and to allow the construction of a crane of the type considered in which a mechanism in itself simple and inexpensive is provided for obtaining several of the aforementioned movements.
According to one of its aspects, the invention is embodied in a crane of the type considered, in which members ensuring the selective control of several of the aforementioned movements are grouped on the same axis so as to be able to be driven from 'a single engine *
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
According to one possible embodiment, the members controlling the translation of the crane on the rails, the orientation of the boom by angular displacement of the. mast and the movement of the carriage are grouped, advantageously on the same vertical axis,
which is preferably the axis of rotation to the mast *. A shaft has vertically 'along this axis is journalled in the frame of the crane mounted on a rail and advantageously carries at its lower end a cable pulley or an equivalent member driven by a cable or similar flexible element recalled by two rollers and the ends of which can be fixed to the ends of the track.
This shaft can also carry, preferably towards its upper part, a cable pulley or an equivalent member driven by a cable or other flexible element without end passing over sets of rollers or equivalent members and in a strand of which is interposed or secured the mobile trolley on the crane boom. This pulley is then mounted crazy on this shaft.
There is also provided on the aforementioned vertical axis an orientation ring for the jib and the mast, fixed to the frame of the crane and driven by a pinion. driven from the engine and rolling on this ring, driving a crew angularly integral with the mata
The various components mounted on this axis are controlled (preferably from the motor via a reduction gear and a two-stage pinion capable of serving as an additional reduction stage, for example to assume the orientation , selectively meshing with the aforementioned organs.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Thanks to this grouping of organs .commanding several of the movements of the crane on the same axis with a view to. their drive from a single motor, the cost price of a crane of this type is significantly reduced and the control is simplified.
The description which follows, given with reference to the appended schematic drawing, given without limitation, will make it possible to better understand the invention.
Fig. 1 is a schematic elevational view with partial section of the lower part of a crane according to the invention.
Fig. 2 and a diagram showing the path of the translation cable.
Figo 3 is a schematic perspective view of the crew controlling the movement of the carriage.
The crane that is the subject of the invention comprises a frame 1 carried by wheels 2, rolling on rails indicated schematically at 3. In this frame 1 is journaled a crew 22 angularly integral with the mast and itself receiving a vertical shaft 4. This shaft carries at its lower part a cable pulley 5 wedged on this shaft, and at its upper part a cable pulley. ± loose mounted on - said shaft 4 and combined with a toothed wheel 7. Another toothed wheel 8 is wedged on shaft 4. The crew 22 carries a motor 9 connected by a reduction gear 10 to a spur pinion 11 meshing so constant with a toothing 12 of a sliding pinion with two stages 12, 13.
The toothing 12 of this sliding pinion 12, 13 can also selectively mesh with the toothed wheels 7 or 8. The toothing 13 of the sliding pinion can be selectively brought or taken.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
with a crowned product 'dorientino 14 integral with the frame 1, the toothing 12 then simply meshing with the pinion
18. The organ '(not shown) can be used to control the movement of the sliding pinion 12, 13 to ensure this. coming into selective grip.
Cornus shown on the pin 2, a cable 15 passes over the pulley 5 and over two rollers 16 disposed on either side of the latter. The ends of this cable 15 are fixed towards the ends of the crane track, so that the rotation of the pulley 5 causes the translation of the crane on this track ;.
As seen in fig. 3, the pulley 6 is attached by an endless cable 17, which also passes over an opposed deflection pulley 18 arranged in a horizontal plane and provided at the end of the boom (not shown) of the crane. Between these two pulleys, the endless cable 17 also passes over two sets of vertical return rollers 19,
20. The carriage, shown schematically at 21 is secured in a strand of the cable 17. It is easily understood that the rotation of the pulley ± ensures, by this cable 17, the entwining of the carriage 21 in one direction or the other. on the crane boom.
The operating mode of the mechanism described and represented is as follows: -
In the position of the two-stage sliding pinion 12, 13 shown in the drawing, the toothing 12 attacks the toothed wheel 8 fixed on the vertical shaft 4, which ensures the rotation of the lower pulley 5 and consequently the translation of the crane along the track '. When this two-stage gear 12, 13 moves upwards, the
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
toothing comes into contact with toothed wheel 7 as indicated in phantom lines ,, Given that:
this toothed wheel 7 is mounted loose on the shaft 4, the latter remains-. stationary and pulley 6 provides control. translation-of the carriage 21 on the boom: Finally, a downward movement of the sliding pinion 12, 13 brings the teeth 13 into engagement with the slewing ring 14, which ensures the orientation of the boom by rolling the toothing 13 on this ring gear, which causes the crew 22 to pivot angularly 'integral with the mast around the axis of the shaft 4.
It can therefore be seen that these three movements are obtained from a single motor by a simple and inexpensive mechanism. In practice, speed issues generally require interconnection by two pinions. but the whole mechanism remains relatively simple.
The details of realization can be modified, in the field of technical equivalences, without departing from the invention;
