Suivant une autre caractéristique de 1 invention, les orifices précités sont alimentés en gaz comprimé par l'intermédiaire de buses ou analogues disposées et;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The present invention relates to an improved process for the transport and distribution of concrete or other pasty or semi-pasty materials of the same kind.
It is known that for the transport and distribution of such materials, it is often used tanks provided with an evacuation pipe in which acts a compressed ejection glue, air or other gas, entraining the pasty product. under the effect of a continuous or intermittent thrust.
Apparatuses operating on this principle sometimes have the disadvantage of ensuring an uneven distribution of the entrained concrete or the like, due to the relatively great compactness of the product circulating in the discharge pipes.
This results in a lack of flexibility of operations, of transport, of the risks of blocking the pipes by the formation of concrete plugs or the like in the constricted parts of the distribution pipe, and consequently of inevitable slowdowns during operation. surgery.
The subject of the invention is an improved method of transport and distribution using a reservoir of the aforementioned type avoiding these various drawbacks and remarkable, in particular, in that it consists in introducing the material to be distributed into the aforementioned reservoir, and in causing said material to act on said material, before it enters the evacuation pipe, a compressed gas, so as to cause its emulsion just before its ejection.
According to this process, therefore, at the inlet of the discharge pipe, a mass of emulsified material is obtained having a much greater fluidity than that of the material introduced into the tank, and the ejection of which into the discharge pipe is done without any difficulty.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the aforementioned emulsion is caused by sending into the reservoir a flow of compressed gas oriented so as to project the emulsified material substantially opposite the orifice (s) of the reservoir through which the fluid is introduced. 'ejection.
It follows that the material, concrete or the like, to be distributed) is emulsified by a flow of compressed gas and simultaneously drawn towards the discharge pipe, so that the phases of emulsion and ejection of the product follow one another. practically without interruption.
One can, of course, by an appropriate arrangement and distribution of the orifices bringing the compressed gas causing the emulsion to regulate the duration of this $ i as well as its effectiveness, so that the material in the reservoir is brought by emulsion, taking into account its consistency, to the desired degree of fluidity.
The invention also relates to an apparatus for transporting and distributing concrete or other pasty or semi-pasty materials of the same type, by the aforementioned method, this apparatus being remarkable, in particular, in that it comprises a tank fitted of an evacuation pipe into which opens a pipe bringing an oompressed ejection fluid,, and one or more orifices opening into said reservoir near said pipe and bringing a compressed gas into the corresponding zone of said reservoir with a view to y cause the material to emulsify before it is ejected. ,
According to another characteristic of 1 invention, the aforementioned orifices are supplied with compressed gas via nozzles or the like arranged and;
oriented so as to project one or more flows
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
of compressed gas to the interior zone of the reservoir situated substantially opposite the orifice (s) through which the ejection fluid is introduced.
Naturally, the reservoir used can be of any type and of any shape desired, for example be cylindrical, conical, etc. However, we will preferably use a reservoir comprising a starting panty by which this reservoir is connected to a lower ejection pipe with an axis substantially perpendicular to the axis of this reservoir, and, in this case, the orifices for supplying the fluid intended for the emulsion of the material will be provided above the inlet, the. ejection fluid.
In the case where several inlet orifices are provided for the fluid intended to emulsify the material, pn can adjust the orientation and the flow rate of these orifices so as to create within the emulsion material a vigorous stirring promoting homogenization of the emulsified volume.
Other characteristics of the invention will become apparent from the description which follows.
In the accompanying drawings, given only by way of example; - Figure 1 is an elevational and sectional view of an apparatus according to the invention; - Figure 3 is a section along the line II-II of Figure 1.
According to the example shown in Figures 1 and 2, a conveyor and dispenser apparatus comprises a tank 1 with a substantially vertical axis having an upper orifice 2 through which the materials to be dispensed are introduced, and a conical shutter valve shown schematically. in 3. This valve 3 can be applied against a conical wall 4 bordering the orifice 2 by means of a seal in order to hermetically close the tank 1.
At the upper part of this tank opens for example a pipe 6 bringing a pressurized fluid intended to exert a thrust on the free surface of the concrete or the like contained in the tank.
The substantially conical lower part 7 of this reservoir ends in an enlarged zone 8 forming an expansion volume into which open orifices, 9, 9 ', 9 ", supplying 11-air or another compressed gas. orifices are provided in an annular part 10 forming a sort of collar surrounding the reservoir 1 at the level of the space 8 and are distributed in this part 10 preferably along an arc of a circle situated on the same side of the reservoir 1 relative to a plane passing through one axis 11 of the latter.
These orifices 9, 9 ', 9 "are preferably designed in the form of a nozzle having a slightly conical profile, the smallest section of which is towards the interior of the apparatus and the axis 12 of which is directed substantially towards the front. central part of the elbow 13 connecting the conical part 71 of the tank 1 to the discharge pipe 14 disposed at the lower part of the device.
At the lower part of the bend 13 opens a pipe 15 conveying the compressed ejection fluid and whose axis is substantially parallel to the axis of the discharge pipe 14. This pipe 15 is located relative to the axial plane 16 of the apparatus (FIG. 2) on the same side as the orifices 9,9 ', 9 ". On the other hand, the outer wall' 17 of the elbow 13 is strongly inclined in the direction of discharge of the tube. material so that the conduit 15 opening at the base of this wall 17 is connected to the latter in a zone 18 of a relatively large area.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The orifices 9, 9 ', 9 "are more particularly oriented so as to direct the flow of compressed gas which they project towards space.
19 of the elbow 13 located in front of this connecting zone 18.
The operation of the apparatus which has just been described is as follows.
The material is introduced into the tank 1 through the orifice 2. The valve 3 being closed, a pressure is established inside the tank 1 by sending air or other compressed gas through the upper pipe 6; simultaneously, the orifices are supplied with compressed fluid
9.9 ', 9 "and the pipe 15. The material located in the elbow 13 is emulsified and violently stirred by the fluid flows sent through the orifices 9.9', 9"; the volume thus emulsified is moreover repelled by this same fluid into space 19, that is to say in front of zone 18 where the compressed air pipe 15 emerges, which then projects it d into the drain piping 14.
Preferably, the shape of the elbow 13 and of the outlet of the discharge pipe 14 is such that a series of plugs of emulsified material can be successively formed substantially at the level of the space.
19, the evacuation of these plugs then occurring automatically and intermittently as and when. measure of their training.
It will easily be understood that the distribution of the emulsified material in the form of successive plugs as it has just been described takes place in a very regular manner owing to the very increased fluidity of the material distributed. Experience shows that the distribution of, for example, compact concrete, normally giving rise to the formation of plugs closing the discharge piping at regular intervals, is replaced with an apparatus of the type described, by a more rapid distribution of concrete in the form of masses emulsion fluids which then follow one another at a more regular and accelerated rate in the evacuation pipe 14, and this without the risk of prolonged blockage of the latter.
Naturally, the orifices 9, 9 ', 9 "could be given any shape, any section or any arrangement desired. They could be of any number, and be connected to separate or common conduits for supplying a compressed fluid. They can also be provided at different levels of the tank of the device.
It is possible to provide valve systems or taps making it possible to regulate separately or simultaneously the flow of 'fluid through the orifices 9, 9', 9 "so as to promote the internal stirring of the material located in the elbow 13 by view of a perfect homogenization of the emulsified volume.
Likewise, any automatic or non-automatic regulation system can be provided on the conduits feeding the inlets 6 and 15, with a view to synchronizing during operation the phases of feeding, emulsifying and ejecting the material contained in the tank. tank.
'The reservoir 1 used may on the other hand have another shape and be of a different type than that shown.
Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment shown and described, which has only been given by way of example.
