The present invention relates to a combine harvester with a cutting mechanism arranged at the front, the table of which is mounted on the frame of the machine so as to tilt about a horizontal axis and rests on two scissor levers placed under the machine. the bias of a spring and disposed below the table.
The object of the invention is to simplify the weight compensating device as much as possible in order to obtain, in addition to a technically perfect arrangement and safe operation, a reduction in weight and lowering of the cost price, which is of great importance in particular with regard to combines of small dimensions.
The constructions known heretofore for mounting a weight compensating device on combines are relatively complicated. In general, there are several very long springs arranged in the longitudinal direction of the combine, under the table of the cutting mechanism and under the frame of the machine, and fixed on the one hand to the table and on the other hand to the frame by means of special guide elements, other rods and other chains. The multiplicity of these elements leads to an inconvenient and complicated arrangement.
The object of the invention is to achieve this weight compensation with the aid of as small a number as possible of additional elements, resulting in less bulk and greater clearance above the ground.
According to the invention, this result is obtained by the fact that the compensatéurs springs are fixed, on the one hand, on the hinge axis of the scissor levers and, on the other hand, directly on the table. This arrangement makes it possible to solve the problem posed and to achieve the desired goal perfectly.
According to the invention, the weight compensating device comprises as few elements as possible, which makes it possible to significantly reduce the weight and the cost price without the operation of the device being hampered. In addition, the machine's clearance above the ground is considerably increased. These advantages are especially very noticeable for the construction of combine harvesters of small dimensions.
The appended drawing, given by way of non-limiting example, shows a possible embodiment of the subject of the invention.
The single figure is a side view of a combine harvester cutting mechanism table disposed at the front of the machine.
The table 1 of the cutting mechanism is mounted on the frame of the machine in such a way that it can pivot around the axes 2. In order to be able to support the weight of the table 1, two scissor levers 3 and 4 subjected to the stress of 'A spring are mounted on each side of the table 1 and under it, and these levers are connected by an axis 7 about which they can pivot. The table 1 rests on the front end of one of the levers 3, which is connected to this table by an articulation, while the other lever 4 is articulated to the frame of the machine by an axis 5.
On each of the two sides of the table 1 is arranged a tension spring 6, one end of which is connected to the axis 7 joining the two levers 3, 4 and the other end of which is connected to the lower end of 'a pull rod 8, the upper end 9 of which is fixed to the table 1. Thanks to the two scissor levers 3, 4 and the springs 6, the weight of the table 1 is largely cpmpensée in all positions, especially in case of moving the table by hand.
The operation of this device is as follows:
In the lowest position of table 1 of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
cut, the two elements 3 and 4 forming the scissor levers make a smaller angle than when the table 1 is in its highest position, the articulation 7 of the scissor levers lowering and the springs 6 increasing the force traction transmitted. When lifting the table 1 of the cutting mechanism, the distance between the joint 7 and the upper end 9 of the draw rod 8 decreases, so that the springs 6 can contribute to the lifting.
But since the upper end 9 of the rod 8 rises at the same time as the table 1, the effective shortening of the springs 6 is less than the distance traveled by the pivot point 7, so that the effective force of the spring is relatively little changed.
The construction details can be modified, without departing from the invention, in the field of mechanical equivalences.
