CEINTURE ELASTIQUE.
Le brevet principal est relatif à une ceinture élastique compre- nant un renfort élastique dont la hauteur augmente progressivement depuis le milieu de la partie dorsale jusqu'aux bords de la plaque antérieure non élastique de la ceinture. Ce renfort s'arrête généralement à une certaine distance du bord de la ceinture.
Cependant, ce renfort étant destiné à as- surer l'aplatissement du ventre, il subit des efforts assez grands à certains endroits, de sorte que, à la fois pour augmenter son efficacité et éviter une usure prématurée de certaines de ses parties, conformément à la présen- te invention, le renfort s'arrêtant encore à une certaine distance du bord de la ceinture, pour la majeure partie de son bord supérieur, est prolongé jusqu'au bord de la ceinture, dans ses portions immédiatement voisines de la plaque antérieure précitéeo
Dans une autre forme de l'objet de l'invention, le prolongement du renfort se trouve dans la portion dorsaleo On peut du reste associer les deux espèces du prolongement.
Un autre objet de l'invention est une ceinture du genre de celle mentionnée ci-avant et qui comprend deux renforts élastiques supplémentaires prévus de part et d'autre de la plaque antérieure susdite, au voisinage im- médiat de celle-ci et dans la partie médiane du premier renfort, ces renforts supplémentaires étant, de préférence, fixés au premier renfort.
D'autres détails et particularités de l'invention ressortiront de la description des dessins annexés au présent mémoire et qui représentent, à titre d'exemples non limitatifs, deux-formes de réalisation de l'objet de l'invention.
La figure 1 représente une partie d'une ceinture, conforme à l'in- vention, qui a été brisée partiellement et qui est vue de l'intérieur.

La figure 2 est analogue à la figure 1 mais se rapporte à une va- riante et on y a représenté l'autre moitié de la ceinture;, également brisée partiellement.
Dans les deux figures, les mêmes notations de références désignent des éléments analogues.
Les ceintures élastiques représentées aux figures 1 et 2 sont ana- logues à celles de la figure 1 du brevet principal et comprennent donc la plaque antérieure 1 non élastique et la partie élastique 2 qui forme les cô- tés et la partie dorsale, celle-ci ayant été désignée par 3.
Le renfort élastique 4 peut encore, comme dans le brevet princi- pal,être fait en tissu,en tulle ou en tricot élastique;il est prévu à l'intér ou à l'extérieur, mais de préférence à l'intérieur de la portion élastique 2. La hauteur de ce renfort 4 va en croissant depuis le milieu du dos jusqu'aux bords de la plaque antérieure lo La hauteur, au milieu du dos, peut être par exemple , de 3 à 5 centimètres, pour atteindre 10 à 28 centi- mètres aux bords de la plaque antérieure 1.
La majeure partie du bord supérieur 9 du renfort 4 se trouve à une certaine distance du bord supérieur 13 de la ceintureo Cependant, pour tenir compte des efforts qui s'exercent particulièrement à certains en- droits du renfort 4, donc pour augmenter l'efficacité de ce dernier et é- viter l'usure prématurée de certaines de ses portions, le renfort 4 est pro- longé, au voisinage immédiat de la plaque antérieure 1, par des portions 15 qui s'étendent jusqu'au bord supérieur 13 de la ceintureo
La ceinture comprend en outre deux renforts élastiques supplémen- taires 16 ; prévus de part et d'autre de la plaque antérieure 1, au voisinage immédiat de celle-ci et dans la partie médiane du renfort 4.
Ces renforts supplémentaires 16 sont fixés au renfort 4, le long de leurs contours exté- rieurs, de préférence par une couture obtenue au moyen du procédé "zig-zag".
La forme extérieure des renforts supplémentaires 16 est voisine d'un angle 17 ouvert vers la plaque antérieure 1 et dont la bissectrice 18 fait un an-- gle 19 avec le bord correspondant de la plaque le cet angle ayant une valeur voisine de 45 mais pouvant varier entre 30 et 60
Les deux renforts supplémentaires 16 sont découpés de manière à supprimer la portion centrale prolongée jusqu'aux bords correspondants de la plaque antérieure 1. Dans le cas de la figure 1, la découpure a sensible- ment la forme d'un angle 20, dont les côtés sont parallèles à ceux de l'an- gle 17 et dont le sommet se trouve sur la bissectrice 18 de cet angle 17.
La ceinture représentée comprend encore la petite plaque supplé- mentaire 5 qui a été décrite dans le brevet principal.
Dans la variante de la figure 2, le renfort 4, outre les prolon- gements 15, présente encore, dans la portion dorsale, un prolongement 21 qui s'étend aussi jusqu'au bord supérieur 13 de la ceinture. On y a encore prévu les renforts supplémentaires 16 et la petite plaque supplémentaire 5.
Il doit être entendu que l'invention n'est nullement limitée aux formes de réalisation décrites et que bien des modifications peuvent être apportées à ces dernières, sans sortir du cadre du présent brevet. C'est ain- si que les dispositions décrites dans le brevet principal concernant notam- ment les petites plaquettes 14, le laçage prévu au milieu du dos, les ban- delettes 11 et 12, etco.o, peuvent être combinées aux caractéristiques dé- crites dans le présent brevet.On peut aussi prévoir le prolongement 21 seul, donc non accompagné des prolongements 15.
Les renforts supplémentaires 16 qui ont été prévus entre le ren- fort 4 et lapartie correspondante de la ceinture pourraient être disposés à l'extérieur du renfort 4.

ELASTIC BELT.
The main patent relates to an elastic waistband comprising an elastic reinforcement the height of which gradually increases from the middle of the back part to the edges of the inelastic anterior plate of the waistband. However, this reinforcement being intended to ensure the flattening of the belly, it undergoes rather great efforts in certain places, so that, both to increase its efficiency and to avoid premature wear of certain of its parts, in accordance with the present invention, the reinforcement still stopping at a certain distance from the edge of the belt, for the major part of its upper edge, is extended to the edge of the belt, in its portions immediately adjacent to the anterior plate above
In another form of the subject of the invention, the extension of the reinforcement is located in the dorsal portion. It is also possible to combine the two species of the extension.
Another object of the invention is a belt of the type mentioned above and which comprises two additional elastic reinforcements provided on either side of the aforesaid anterior plate, in the immediate vicinity thereof and in the rear. middle part of the first reinforcement, these additional reinforcements preferably being fixed to the first reinforcement.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description of the drawings appended hereto and which represent, by way of nonlimiting examples, two embodiments of the object of the invention.

Figure 2 is similar to Figure 1 but relates to a variant and the other half of the belt is shown therein, also partially broken.
In the two figures, the same reference notations designate similar elements.
The elastic belts shown in Figures 1 and 2 are analogous to those of Figure 1 of the main patent and therefore comprise the non-elastic anterior plate 1 and the elastic part 2 which forms the sides and the dorsal part, the latter having been designated by 3.
The elastic reinforcement 4 can also, as in the main patent, be made of fabric, tulle or elastic knit; it is provided inside or outside, but preferably inside the portion. elastic 2. These additional reinforcements 16 are fixed to the reinforcement 4, along their outer contours, preferably by a seam obtained by means of the "zig-zag" process.
The external shape of the additional reinforcements 16 is close to an angle 17 open towards the front plate 1 and the bisector 18 of which forms an angle 19 with the corresponding edge of the plate the this angle having a value close to 45 but being able to vary between 30 and 60
The two additional reinforcements 16 are cut out so as to eliminate the central portion extended to the corresponding edges of the front plate 1. In the case of FIG. 1, the cutout has substantially the shape of an angle 20, of which the sides are parallel to those of angle 17 and the apex of which is on the bisector 18 of this angle 17.
The belt shown further includes the additional small plate 5 which was described in the main patent.
In the variant of FIG. 2, the reinforcement 4, in addition to the extensions 15, also has, in the dorsal portion, an extension 21 which also extends to the upper edge 13 of the belt. There are still additional reinforcements 16 and the small additional plate 5.
It should be understood that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments described and that many modifications can be made to the latter, without departing from the scope of the present patent. It is in this way that the provisions described in the main patent relating in particular to the small plates 14, the lacing provided in the middle of the back, the strips 11 and 12, etc., can be combined with the characteristics of written in the present patent. One can also provide the extension 21 alone, therefore not accompanied by the extensions 15.
The additional reinforcements 16 which have been provided between the reinforcement 4 and the corresponding part of the belt could be placed outside the reinforcement 4.
