LAME DE SCIE A RUBAN AVEC DENTS ARMEES DE SEGMENTS RAPPORTES EN CONCRETION
METALLIQUE DIAMANTEE.

BAND SAW BLADE WITH TEETH ARMORED WITH SECURED SEGMENTS
DIAMOND METALLIC.
The invention relates to a band saw blade, the teeth of which are armed with segments of diamond-coated metallic concretion.
In machine tools, band saws are driven by pulleys on the rim of which they are wound like a belt. As it passes over a pulley, a silk blade is therefore subjected to bending in the longitudinal direction and the teeth cannot escape this deformation.
It follows therefore that when the segments of diamond-coated metallic construction are brazed directly to the body of the saw blade itself, as is the case with the diamond saws manufactured until now, they are themselves stressed. by bending, just like the blade that carries them. However) the diamond metallic concretion consists of a sintered metal impregnated with diamond grains and could not undergo similar fatigue for a long time without serious damage.
The aim of the invention is to obviate the drawback stated above, by subtracting the parts made of diamond-coated metallic concretion from the bending inherent in the passages of the saw blade over the pulleys.
To this end, in the new type saw blade the diamond part of each tooth is carried by a posterior appendage of the latter.
This appendix, attaches only to the body of the tooth and along a normal to the edge of the blade
In a preferred embodiment, each appendage is separated from the body of the tape proper by a cutout made when the teeth are born. The cuts are made from the backs of the teeth and are directed along the edge of the blade. The main purpose of these cuts is to subtract the appendages, and hence the diamond segments that they support, from the bending of the blade generated by the pulleys.
Thanks to this arrangement, each appendage and its diamond segment always remains rectilinear from its junction to the body of the tooth and becomes tangent to the curvature of the blade as it passes over the pulleys.

Other features of the invention are mentioned in the description given below without a limiting nature and with reference to the accompanying drawing.
The figure shows a band saw tip conforming to. the invention. The teeth of the saw are reinforced with segments made of diamond-coated metal. The reported segments are made integral with the teeth by one or another known process (solder or other).
According to the invention, the diamond segment 2 of each tooth 1 is carried by a posterior appendage 3 of the tooth. Each appendage 3 only holds the body of the corresponding tooth 1. It is attached to it by a normal n- n at the edge of the saw blade. Advantageously, the diamond concretion lining extends over the entire outer edge of the appendix 3 on which it is fitted.
In a preferred embodiment, each appendage 3 is separated from the body 4 of the blade by an opening 5.
The cut 5 is made at the birth of the tooth 1. It is made from the back 6 and is directed along the edge of the tape. To properly support the active diamond part, the back 6 of each tooth is perpendicular to the edge of the blade.
Thanks to the conformation of the band saw according to the invention, the segments of diamond-coated metallic concretion, which arm the teeth of the saw, are withdrawn from bending in the longitudinal direction impressed on the band by the pulleys. In this way, the diamond concretion is no longer subjected to forces liable to cause its disintegration.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above; various modifications may be made, in fact, within the scope of this specification. We could, in particular, give the teeth of the saw any shape deemed appropriate. One could also choose anything not deemed suitable.
