Ces mécanismes de changement de canette com- prennent au moins un réservoir pour les étuis ou canons des canettes ; dispositif pour retenir les canettes dans le réservoir, du type à butées pivotantes destinées à libérer et à faire tomber la première canette du ré- servoir, à stopper la deuxième canette qui se présente sous l'impulsion d'un mécanisme commandé par l'arbre longitudinal entraîné à spn tour par ledit encliquetage à came ;

Lorsqu'un dessin de trame est prévu, l'ensemble comporte plu- sieurs réservoirs disposés côte-à-côté, de préférence au nombre maximum de quatre, soit un par couleur, muni chacun d'un dispositif pour libérer sépa- rément les canettes; ces réservoirs sont déplacés par le dispositif comman- dé par le dessin de trame, d'une part, et par un arbre longitudinal, d'au- tre part, la rotation de cet arbre imprimant des mouvements principalement angulaires à l'ensemble des réservoirs qui sont montés oscillants à la fa- çon d'un pendule ;

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
Lorsque le battant atteint son point mort avant, le bâti mo- bile-5a- a été déplacé pour présenter la navette de la couleur prévus en alignement avec le couloir de chasse, et le poussoir-16-, en raison de la sollicitation produite par le ressort -20-, tend a s'appuyer sur la tête -8a- du tâteur -8- qui correspond à la boite -5- qui se trouve en position de lancement ; cetâteur traverse par conséquent un trou convenablement plà cé, prévu dans la navette -57- qui se trouve en position de lancement, pour atteindre la canette-56- qu'elle contient ; si la canette est encore garnie de fil, la tige-8- ne s'enfonce que faiblement sous la sollicitation du poussoir-16- (fig. 6);
L'autre levier -35- est attaché par son extrémité libre à un ressort -43- et à une tige -44-. Le ressort -43- est ancré à un culbuteur-45- dont l'extrémité opposée a la forme d'un crochet-45a-; ce culbuteur pivote sur un axe -46- porté par le bâti du métier et placé entre le culbuteur -45- et une barrette-47- pivotant en -48- sur ce même culbu- teur ; un ressort-49- applique cette barrette -47- contre le culbuteur -45-;
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
Un mécanisme -65- (voir fig. 17) de commande des couleurs de trame, connu en soi, détermine, en raison des mouvements de la tringle -66- et suivant un mode connu, le déplacement des boîtes -5- des navettes afin de placer en position de lancement les navettes qui contiennent les canettes de couleur, à tour de rôle, selon l'ordonnancement prévu par le dessin ; la trin- gle -66-, par l'intermédiaire du levier -67-, fait tourner également un ar- bre longitudinal -68- dont les déplacements angulaires sont ainsi fonction du dessin de trame; cet arbre -68- (parallèle à l'arbre -24-), à l'extrémi- té du côté ou se trouvent les réservoirs -53-54-, porte une manivelle -69- reliée par une biellette -70- à l'extrémité inférieure d'un levier oscillant .-71- dont le pivot -72- est fixé au bâti du métier;
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
Lorsque la canette, contenue dans une navette placée en posi- tion de lancement, est épuisée, le tâteur correspondant-8- s'enfonce dans la navette et permet un déplacement du poussoir-15-16- jusqu'à la position indiquée en traits mixtes sur la fig. 6, le ressort -20- sollicitant l'en- semble -10-15-14- et-17- vers cetteposition;
Le même mouvement angulaire de l'arbre -24- produit à travers la tringle -44-, le soulèvement de l'extrémité -61a- des leviers -61- qui agissent, selon le sens indiqué par la flèche fig. 16, sur les butées pivotantes -58- du réservoir -54- qui a été placé en position de déchargement par le dis- positif de commande du dessin de trame, c'est-à-dire au-dessus des guides fixes -77-; en raison du pivotement simultané des butées mobiles -58- cor- respondante, l'étui -55- qu'elles retenaient auparavant tombe entre les gui- des -77- jusqu'à porter sur le plan incliné -81- qui ce déplace solidaire- ment au battant;

La navette -57- présente latéralement un trou -57b- pour per- mettre le passage du tâteur qui peut ainsi s'engager dans la cavité -55a- tournée du côté de la navette où est percé le trou-57b-. La cavité-57a- est garnie à une extrémité d'un jeu de deux plaquettes-57c- qui forment en leur milieu une encoche dans laquelle vient se loger l'arête correspondante -55b- de l'étui -55- (voir en particulier la fig. 22); dans cette position, le fil provenant du trou -55d- peut traverser une lumière convenablement aménagée en -57d- (figo 24) dans un bloc métallique profilé -57e- porté par l'extré- mité antérieure de la navette pour la sortie du fil de trame;

AUTOMATIC CAN CHANGING DEVICE IN WEAPONS.
The invention relates to an automatic device for replacing empty cans in loom shuttles, this replacement possibly taking place with selection by color; the replacement takes place as soon as the shuttle, judged to be exhausted by a feeler, has made a single stroke along the comb of the flapper.
The device according to the invention is particularly suitable for a so-called drapery loom and above all for the type designated by the name "4xl", that is to say comprising on one side of the leaf movable boxes controlled by the mechanism of the frame design and, on the other side of the bat- tle, a single housing for the shuttle.
According to the invention, on the side of the mobile boxes for the formation of the frame pattern, several mobile mechanical feelers are arranged with the boxes with which cooperates an oscillating pusher also supported by the leaf and which can be moved by the feeler of a shuttle , when the latter is placed in the launching position, so as to act, when the bobbin is considered exhausted, on a cam latching which, during the opening movement of the leaf, determines the rotation of 'a longitudinal shaft carried by the frame; at the opposite end of the loom, this shaft controls the mechanisms which ensure the replacement of the exhausted can.
These can change mechanisms comprise at least one reservoir for the cases or barrels of the cans; device for retaining the cans in the tank, of the type with pivoting stops intended to release and drop the first can from the tank, to stop the second can which comes under the impulse of a mechanism controlled by the shaft longitudinal rotatably driven by said cam latch;
seat or guide, placed below the reservoir, intended to receive the case of the can which reaches it by gravity, and which cooperates with a bearing plane carried by the leaf and which extends to the housing of the shuttle, so as to allow the bobbin to fall from
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
the guide to the shuttle that made the race between the. box provided with a feeler and said opposite housing; a device for introducing the can from the reservoir and expelling the exhausted can from the shuttle, this device being guided on the leaf and controlled by the movement of the same leaf using a selector device which acts on the dispo - expelling device as a function of the angular movement effected by the aforementioned shaft controlled by the cam latch.
The device also comprises: at least one safety mechanism which intervenes when the shuttle has not reached the required position or if the replacement has not taken place; a device intended to prevent the operation of the pusher when the shuttle is on the side opposite to that where the boxes fitted with the feelers are located; a device which controls a pair of scissors to cut the thread when the shuttle is exhausted; and finally other safety devices intended to perform ancillary roles.
When a weft pattern is provided, the assembly comprises several reservoirs arranged side by side, preferably a maximum of four, that is to say one per color, each provided with a device for separately releasing the cans. ; these reservoirs are moved by the device controlled by the screen pattern, on the one hand, and by a longitudinal shaft, on the other hand, the rotation of this shaft imparting mainly angular movements to all the reservoirs which are mounted to oscillate like a pendulum;
thanks to this arrangement, it is the opening of the chute which corresponds to the reservoir for cans of the same color as that contained in the shuttle placed in the hunting lane which is located opposite the guides provided for the can of replacement, this replacement being thus facilitated in the event of exhaustion.
As has already been indicated, the cans are contained in suitable cases, of elongated shape, intended to be housed in the shuttle when the case containing the exhausted can has been expelled therefrom.
The invention will be better understood from the description below given with reference to the accompanying drawings which schematically show a possible embodiment of the invention.

In the drawings, -1- schematically designates the fixed structure of the frame of the weaving loom, -2- being the leaf fitted with the usual comb and which pivots at -3-, the control of the leaf being ensured by a mechanism articulated from a rotating shaft -4-. At one end of the leaf are mounted the shuttle boxes-5- guided vertically on the mobile frame -6- carried by the leaf -2-; these boxes -5- are controlled, in the case of a multicolored frame, by the frame drawing mechanism of any suitable type.
On a frame -5a-, slidably mounted on the mobile frame-6- and which constitutes the set of boxes -5-, a vertical U-shaped support provided with a central spacer on which are mounted qua- be feelers -8- formed by sliding rods perpendicular to the boxes -5- and intended to penetrate into the latter; these feelers -8- are normally kept away from the boxes by small springs-9- and they have a rounded head -Sa- on the outside.
A rod -14- is mounted by means of supports -10- on the leaf -2- and on the mobile frame -6-; on this rod is fixed an arm -15- at the free end of which is fixed a pusher -16-; on the same rod -14- is fixed a second arm-17- which is part of a snap-in device; the arm -17- is mounted perpendicular to the arm -15- and next to one of the supports-10-; finally, on the rod -14- are fixed two small levers -18- and -19- (fig.
5), the second being subjected to the bias of a return spring-20- (fig. 8) anchored at -21- on the leaf, so that the rod -14- is constantly urged in the direction which applies the pusher -16- against the rounded head -8a- of the feeler -8- which is located opposite the box -5- placed in the throwing axis of the shuttle.
On the fixed frame -1- of the loom is mounted a transverse shaft -24- on which, on the side where the boxes -5- are located, is wedged a cam -25- intended to cooperate with the aforementioned arm-17- to constitute the locking mechanism; this cam has an upper profile -25a-, a notch -25b- and a profiled part -25c- which ends in another notch -25d-, the parts -25c- and -25d- being intended to cooperate with a cam roller-26a- mounted at the end of a lever -26- mounted in turn on a pivot -27- and biased towards the cam by a spring -28-; on the cam -25- is also provided an inclined stop -29-.
The free end, in the form of a tooth, of the arm -17- is intended to engage it in the notch -25b-
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
of the cam -25- when the inclination of this arm exceeds a certain limit, so that the arm -17-, during the movement of the leaf, acts as a ratchet and makes the shaft -24- perform a certain angular movement, while if this arm -17- remains raised during the movement of the leaf, its end only slides on the profile -25a- of the cam.
When the leaf reaches its front dead center, the movable frame-5a- has been moved to present the shuttle of the color provided in alignment with the hunting lane, and the pusher-16-, due to the stress produced by the spring -20- tends to rest on the head -8a of the feeler -8- which corresponds to the box -5- which is in the launch position; cetâteur therefore passes through a suitably plà cé hole, provided in the shuttle -57- which is in the launch position, to reach the can-56- it contains; if the bobbin is still filled with thread, the rod-8- only slightly sinks under the stress of the pusher-16- (fig. 6);
consequently, the rod -14- pivots about its axis to a limited extent and the arm -17- remains sufficiently raised to avoid engaging in the notch -25b- of the cam-25-; when the leaf (on which the rod -14- is mounted) opens, the arm -17- comes into contact with the profile -25a- and slides on it) by slightly moving the pusher -16- away from the head the feeler who can thus immediately return to its recall position.
If, on the other hand, the feeler pushed by the pusher -16- (subjected to the bias of the spring -20-) enters the shuttle placed in the launching axis and finds an exhausted can, this same feeler allows an angular movement of greater amplitude to the rod -14- and, consequently, the lowering of the arm -17- in the position indicated in fig. 6 in phantom; in this case, the end of the arm -17- s-'engages in the notch -25b- and thus produces, with the movement of the leaf (in the direction of the arrow in fig. 7) towards the open position, an angular movement of a certain amplitude of the cam-25- and, consequently, of the shaft -24- (see fig. 7), while the roller -26- comes out of the notch or seat - 25d- and rolls on profile-25c-.
When the movement of the leaf is reversed (in the opposite direction to that indicated by the arrow pin 7), a stop -30- carried by the leaf meets the inclined stop -29- of the cam and turns it. this in the opposite direction to that of the displacement produced by the arm -17-, in order to return the cam to its initial position (fig. 6), which is further facilitated by the presence of the profile -25c- and the roller -26a- elastically biased against this profile.
At the longitudinal end of the shaft -24- opposite to that where the cam -25- is located, and on this same shaft, are fixed two levers -34- and-35-; to the lever -34- is connected a rod-36- whose opposite end is associated with a doorbell lever -37- pivoting on a fixed axis -38- and which controls, via a rod- 39-, a blade -40- of a pair of scissors (see figs. 2,3,9 and 13) intended to cut the thread of an exhausted bobbin.
The other lever -35- is attached by its free end to a spring -43- and to a rod -44-. The spring -43- is anchored to a rocker-45- whose opposite end has the shape of a hook-45a-; this rocker pivot on an axis -46- carried by the frame of the loom and placed between the rocker -45- and a bar-47- pivoting at -48- on the same rocker; a spring-49- applies this bar -47- against the rocker -45-;
thanks to this arrangement, the assembly -45-, -47- can oscillate around the axis -46- while being able to slide axially relative to the latter when it is subjected to a longitudinal stress of determined force, which lifts the bar -47- and allows the axis -46- to reach the seat -46a- (similar to that occupied in the drawing by the axis -46-) consisting of two opposite notches, formed one on the rocker -45- and the other on the bar -47-. The rod -44-, as we will see later, controls the release of the shuttles from the tank:
On the side opposite to that where the boxes -5- are located, two rigid supports -51- have been fixed to the frame -1- which carry at the end a hinge -52- intended for a box -53- which can oscillate at the like a pendulum and which carries, in the example shown, four reservoirs -54-
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
for spare cans ;, 'indicating that the weft can have a maximum of four colors.
In each of the tanks -54- are housed several cases -55- containing the bobbins -56- of weft thread; cesétuis are established in order to penetrate into a suitable housing formed in each shuttle -57- and to be retained there by their ends. Towards the bottom of each of the tanks -54- are provided, on either side of the chute opening, two pivoting stops -58- in the form of an anchor, mounted on axes -58a- and subjected to the stress spring -59- (fig. 16), so that the two inner ends of the two anchors -58- of each tank -54- can penetrate into appropriate side openings of the housing -53- to hold onto them in the normal position (in which they are urged by the springs -59-) the first bobbin case -55- starting from the bottom.
With the pivoting stops -58- cooperate two levers -61- integral with a rod -62- pivotally mounted on brackets -63- integral with the supports -51-; .a crank -64- wedged on the rod -62- is connected to the rod -44-. Thus, when the shaft -24- swivels, the rod -44- is pulled out and lifts the end -61a- of the levers -61- (in the direction of the arrow, fig.
16), which determines the movement, against the bias of the springs-59-, of the pivoting stops -58- relative to that of the reservoirs -54- which is placed in the bobbin changing position, so as to drop the bobbin case from the bottom and to retain the one immediately above it using the upper arm of the two cooperating stops -58-, when the- lever -61- is lowered, the pivoting stops -58- return in the position shown in fig. 16 and hold the case which then becomes the first in the stack from the bottom.
A mechanism -65- (see fig. 17) for controlling the weft colors, known per se, determines, due to the movements of the rod -66- and according to a known mode, the displacement of the boxes -5- of the shuttles in order to to place the shuttles which contain the colored cans in the launching position, in turn, according to the order provided by the drawing; the link -66-, by means of the lever -67-, also rotates a longitudinal shaft -68- whose angular displacements are thus a function of the weft pattern; this shaft -68- (parallel to the shaft -24-), at the end of the side where the tanks -53-54- are located, carries a crank -69- connected by a rod -70- to the lower end of an oscillating lever -71- whose pivot -72- is fixed to the frame of the loom;
the upper end of this oscillating lever is connected in an adjustable manner to a rod -73- connected in turn and in an articulated manner to the housing -53- of the reservoirs -54-, this housing being able to oscillate, as as we have seen, around a hinge -52-.
Thus, at the ends -61a- of the levers -61- is placed in turn that of the reservoirs -54- which contains the cases provided with bobbins whose color corresponds to that of the shuttle thread which is present at this time in launch position; if the bobbin of this shuttle is judged to be exhausted by the feeler, the shaft -24- rotates, as explained above, but at the same time the levers -61a- act on the movable stops -57- in - right where the tank is located which is then placed in unloading condition and produces the fall of a case containing the can having the required color.
The supports -51- also carry guides -75-, tubular in shape and placed horizontally in the example shown, which each mirror a sliding rod -76-; at one end of this rod are fixed sheet metal guiding parts -77- forming a U, so that two elements -77- are placed face to face (see fig. 9) in order to guide in its fall. 'case possibly released by the pivoting stops-58-; in fact, these parts -77- are held below the reservoir -54- in the discharge position by means of springs -78- which react between the guides -75- and shoulders -78a- of the rod -76- , so as to urge against these same guides -75- a stopper -76a- integral with the rod -76-.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
On the leaf -2- (see figs. 9 and 10) is - fixed a support -80- which carries an inclined plane -81- placed below the above-mentioned guides -77-; this inclined plane ends, at the rear, facing the seat -82- intended for the shuttle -57- and from which the same shuttle is launched to again reach the box -5- from which it had started; cesiège -82- is provided with an open bottom -83- and below this bottom is placed an inclined plane -84- through which the cases -55- expelled from the shuttle are evacuated when the can is exhausted.
On the frame of the leaf -2-, on the side of the housing -82-, are provided guides for a plate -86- arranged so as to slide approximately vertically; this plate is provided at its upper end with an angled flange -87- which constitutes the member intended to replace the case in the shuttle -57-.
The sliding plate -86- is controlled from below using a link -88- connected to a lever -89- wedged on a shaft -90- mounted on the leaf -2-; on the inner end of this shaft is wedged a small lever -91- provided with a finger-92- (fig.15) normally placed at the end -45a- in the form of a hook of the rocker arm-45-; when the shaft -90- performs (fig. 14) a pivoting movement around its axis in the direction of the arrow (against the resistance of suitable opposing springs, not shown) it determines the downward movement of the plate -86 - and the upper edge -87- thereof; this expels from the turnip-57- the case -55- containing the exhausted can and produces its replacement by the case previously fallen between the U-guides -77-.
Normally, the shaft -90- does not rotate and the finger -92- travels a path which is a function of the movement of the leaf.
The seat -82- of the shuttle has an elastic member -94- (see 9 and 10) which moves to the right looking at the pin 10 when the shuttle is housed in its seat -82-; in this way this member-which may be constituted by a leaf spring- acts on a weight -95- wedged on a rod -96- (figs. 5, 8 and 9) mounted on the leaf; on the opposite end of this rod -96- is fixed an arm -97- intended to meet the arm -18--already cited- wedged on the rod -14- carrying the push-button -16-; this mechanism is used to cancel the indication of the feeler when the shuttle is not in the gearbox -5- in the launch position but in the seat -82-.
During the operation of the loom, as long as no can is exhausted, the periodic movements of the leaf produce limited liftings of the arm -17- when the latter traverses the profile -25a-, of the cam -25-, which moves the pusher-16- slightly away from the rounded head -8a- of the feeler -8- of the box -5- which is in the starting position, which avoids the danger of the feeler engaging in the light made in the shuttle -57- when it is launched.
Under these conditions, when the arm -17- exceeds the profile -25a- on the side of the notch -25b-, the pusher-16- comes closer and presses on that of the heads -8a- which corresponds to the feeler of the shuttle placed in the launch position, so as to engage the corresponding feeler in the shuttle where it only partially penetrates by resting on the non-exhausted can; this movement is however limited and it is provided so that, during the return stroke, the arm -17- does not meet the notch -25b- and again slides in the opposite direction on the profile -25a-; therefore, the tree -24- remains immobile.
When the shuttle is in the seat -82- (on the opposite side of the boxes-5-) the feeler -8- can engage in the box -5- without the turnip, but in this case the pusher -16- is kept raised due to the fact that the elastic member -94-, raised by the shuttle engaged in the seat -82-, has rotated the weight -95- and consequently the rod -96-, which move the arm -97- in opposition to the shaft -18- set on the rod -14- so as to prevent the arm-17- from being lowered.
During the operation of the loom, the vertical displacement of the slide -5a- which carries the boxes -5- correspond to proportional displacements of the box -53- controlled by the device made up of the components -73-71-70-69- and -68- moved by the same control mechanism of the weft pattern, so as to present in the discharge position (above the guides -77-) the reservoir -54- which contains the cases
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
-55- containing the bobbins-56- of the same color as that of the thread contained in the shuttle placed in the launch position.
When the bobbin, contained in a shuttle placed in the launch position, is exhausted, the corresponding feeler-8- is inserted into the shuttle and allows the pusher-15-16- to move to the position indicated in lines. mixed in fig. 6, the spring -20- urging the assembly -10-15-14- and-17- towards thisposition;
under these conditions, the arm -17-, during the return stroke (i.e. opening of the leaf), instead of sliding on the profile -25a-, meets the notch -25b- and imprint - me an angular displacement to the cam -25- (see fig.-7) and, consequently, to the shaft -24-. When the movement of the leaf is reversed, the arm -17- moves away from the cam and the latter is returned in time to the position shown in fig. 6 by the stop -30-, integral with the leaf, which acts on the inclined stop -29- of the cam by quickly returning the latter to the position of FIG. 6, with the help of the arm-26-.
The pivoting of the shaft -24- around its axis determines, by means of the assembly of members -34-36-37- and-39- (see figs.
9 and 13) cutting the thread of the spent bobbin using the scissors -40-, after the shuttle -57- has reached the seat -82-. This same pivoting of the shaft -24- also determines, by means of the spring -43-, the angular displacement of the rocker arm -45-45a- around the pivot -46-, and the end -45a- in This rocker arm's hook shape is thus raised.
The same angular movement of the shaft -24- produces through the rod -44-, the lifting of the end -61a- of the levers -61- which act, according to the direction indicated by the arrow in fig. 16, on the pivoting stops -58- of the tank -54- which has been placed in the unloading position by the weft pattern control device, that is to say above the fixed guides -77- ; due to the simultaneous pivoting of the corresponding movable stops -58-, the case -55- which they previously held falls between the guides -77- until it bears on the inclined plane -81- which moves together - lying on the wing;
under these conditions, the sliding plate -86- and its bracket -87- are lifted (see fig. 10) and the finger -92- of the lever-91- mounted on the shaft -90- carried by the leaf - 2- is still slightly away from the end -45a-, hook-shaped, of the rocker -45-, which is raised.
During the progression of the leaf in the direction of the arrow (fig. 10) up to the position indicated in freeze 11, the guides -77- hold the case -55- which is housed there after its fall, while that below the inclined plane -81- slides until, at its end, the case -55- is presented by the same guides -77- above the opening of the shuttle -57 - housed in seat -82-; at this time since the end -45a- of the rocker arm -45- has lifted, as discussed above, the finger -92-, instead of moving freely, is retained by the end -45- which determines, while the movement of the leaf continues, the rotation in the direction of the arrows figs.
He and 14, from the set -91-90- and -89-; this results in the downward movement of the link -88- and, consequently, of the sliding plate -86-87-; consequently, the case carried by the guides -77- (see fig. 11) is introduced into the shuttle and the one which was there previously is expelled from below, through the opening -83-, to fall along the inclined plane -84-. Thus, the launch of shuttle-57- now takes place with a full can.
It will be noted that the replacement of the can takes place as soon as the shuttle has been launched from the shuttle box-5- where the exhaustion indication has occurred, in the direction of the seat -82- placed on the side. opposite of the clapper.
If any jamming occurs during the sliding of a case which has fallen between the guides -77-, relative to the inclined plane -81- which moves below these guides, they could give way thanks to the presence springs -78-.
If, as a result of either a jamming or a faulty reception of the shuttle in the seat -82-, the replacement of the case -55-
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
could take place, and if in any case the guide plate -86-87- could slide freely downwards (its control being ensured by the finger -92- which moves with the leaf relative to the end -45a- in the form of a hook, of the rocker -45- whose pivot is fixed to the frame of the loom), and if consequently the jamming determined a stiffening of the finger -92-, the latter, with the advancement of. wing., would overcome the elastic resistance exerted by the bar -47- due to the spring -49- and would lift it, at the same time determining the translation (to the left, looking at fig.
15) the rocker arm -45- until the pivot -46- is housed in the seat -46a- described above; this translational movement of the rocker arm -45- determines the displacement of a bell lever -99-, -99a- (see fig. 15) around the pivot-100- fixed to the frame of the loom; This angular movement produces in any desired and known manner the stop of the metier in order to remove the jamming and to allow the replacement of the can by a manual operation, before the launching of the shuttle.
In Figs. 18 to 23, a turnip and a bobbin case are shown in more detail.
As emerges from these figures, the shuttle-57- comprises a cavity -57a- which passes through the shuttle from top to bottom and extends longitudinally and vertically in order to receive a case -55-. The latter has a cavity -55a- provided with transverse retaining grooves, intended to contain and hold a spool of thread; case has an edge at each end, one of them is horizontal, fairly pronounced and covered with a plate -55b-; the other, covered with a plate -55c-, has a small central cavity; finally, the first plate -55b- is pierced with a hole -55d- for the passage of the wire.
The shuttle -57- laterally has a hole -57b- to allow the passage of the feeler which can thus engage in the cavity -55a- facing the side of the shuttle where the hole-57b- is drilled. The cavity-57a- is lined at one end with a set of two plates-57c- which form in their middle a notch in which is housed the corresponding edge -55b- of the case -55- (see in particular Fig. 22); in this position, the wire coming from the hole -55d- can pass through a slot suitably arranged in -57d- (figo 24) in a profiled metal block -57e- carried by the front end of the shuttle for the exit of the wire weft;
the opposite end of the cavity -57a- is lined with a stamped plate -57f- (see in particular Fig. 23) to which is associated a spring pin -57g- intended to elastically engage in a suitable cavity formed in the terminal plate -55c- of the case -55- in order to retain the latter in the shuttle.
When the square -87- produces the expulsion of a case containing an exhausted bobbin and the introduction of a new filled bobbin case, the spring-loaded pin -57g- is pushed into its housing by the profiled plates. -55c- of the cases, which makes it possible to release them and to introduce the case coming from the reservoir, this new case being secured to the shuttle by accommodating its front edge-formed by the plate-55b- - in the notches of the plates -57c- of the shuttle, and by making the spring pin -57g- elastically penetrate into the central notch of the plate -55c- of the case.
It is understood that the appended drawings show only one possible schematic embodiment of the invention, given simply as an example of practical application of the invention and that many variations can be made. the shapes, dimensions, number and proportions of the members shown without departing from the scope of the invention.
