, La présente invention a pour obj.et un emballage pliant à compar- timents du genre boite pliante, constitué par un matériau en feuille, tel que dù papier, du carton, ou analogue, et destiné plus spécialement au trans- port'et au commerce des' oeufs et d'autres marchandises fragiles.
¯ Suivant l'invention l'emballage est composé d'au moins deux feuilles-enveloppes et de plusieurs feuilles-cloisons, découpées, fendues, entaillées et pliées de façon à pouvoir être assemblées entre elles, par insertion et 'accrochage, sous forme d'une boite à compartiments, par exemple' à deux rangées de compartiments età couvercle, susceptible d'être aplatie sur elle-même et d'être ramenée en position de service par une simple pression, en traction, exercée sur deux coins diagonalement opposés de l'ensemble, et par le déplacement'.angulaire en résultant et le glissement les unes par rap- port, aux,autres, des parties restant en prise entre elles des feuilles-enve- loppes, et des'feuilles-cloisons.
Cet emballage peut être exécuté sous diverses formes dont quel- ques-unes son+, décrites plus bas avec référenqe au dessin annexé qui repré- sente, à titre d'exemple non limitatif, une -forme d'exécution;d'un emballage pliant convenant tout spécialement pour le transport et le commerce des oeufs.

Chacune de ces feuilles-enveloppes est munie d'un pli 6 servant de charnière à la partie 5 formant battant de couvercle, ainsi. que d'un pli de fond.7, permettant de replier la partie 13 comprise entre le pli de fond 7, et le bord de fond 14 de la feuille-enveloppe de manière que cette partie 13 constitue, avec la partie intermédiaire voisine 3 de la feuille- enveloppe une partie du fond de la boîte.
Entre les plis 6 et 7 chaque feuil- le-enveloppe est munie d'une rangée de quatre fentes 8 perpendiculaires aux plis 6 et 7, et éventuellement de quelques plis auxiliaires 15 destinés à fa- ciliter le jeu des divers éléments assemblés lors de l'aplatissement de la boite et de sa mise en position de service, et permettant en outre de donner au fond de la boite une forme bombée. La partie 5 formant battant de couver- cle de la feuille-enveloppe 1, est munie de deux fentes ou découpures 16, destinées à coopérer avec des languettes de fermeture 17 formées par'la par- tie 5 de la feuille-enveloppe 2.
Quatre feuilles-cloisons 9 de forme quadrangulaire dont chacune est munie, du côté de l'un de ses bords 10, de deux paires d'entailles en forme de fentes 11-12, 11-12, les entailles 11-12, de chaque paire étant disposées en V et s'ouvrant par exemple à la pointe du V dans le bord 10. Les entailles 12 ont avantageusement la forme de fentes courbes, convexes vers l'extérieur, de sorte que les coins 18 des feuilles- cloisons forment des crochets.
Chacune des feuilles-cloisons 9, peut être munie en outre, à sa partie opposée au bord 10 de deux entailles latérales 19-laissant des pat- tes 20...
Deux; feuilles d'écartement 21 munies chacune à l'un de ses bords 22 de quatre entailles en forme de fentes 23.
Pour assembler l'emballage il suffit par exemple de placer chaque feuille-cloison 9 d'abord à plat contre la feuille -enveloppe 1, avec le bord 10 d'un de ses crochets 18 en face d'une fente 8, et de glisser ensuite le crochet 18 dans la fente 8, comme représenté sur la moitié supérieure de la figuré 6; puis faire de même avec l'autre crochet 18 de chaque feuille-cloi- son 9 par rapport aux fentes 8 de la feuille-enveloppe 2, comme représenté sur la moitié inférieure de la figure 6, de sorte que les feuilles-cloisons 9 se trouvent entre les feuilles-enveloppes 1 et 2, et accrochées à celles- ci.
Ensuite on déplace les feuilles-enveloppes 1 et 2 l'une relati- vement à l'autre et parallèlement à elles-mêmes dans le sens des flèches X et Y, en arrivant ainsi à la position relative suivant la figure 7 des élé- ments considérés.
Puis on insère les feuilles d'écartement 21 dans les entailles 11, 11 des feuilles-cloisons 9, jusqu'à ce que ces dernières soient enfourchées par les entailles 23 des feuilles d'écartement 21.
Finalement on replie la partie de fond 13 des feuilles envelop- pes 1 et 2 autour des bords 24 des feuilles d'écartement 21 tout en faisant

entrer les dites parties de fond 13 dans les entailles 11 des feuilles-cloi- sons 9. aplatie. L'emballage se trouve ainsi définitivement assemblé en position' aplatie.
Cet exemple de l'opération d'assemblage purement manuel, a été donné principalement dans le but de faire ressortir la souplesse de l'inter- connexion des divers éléments constitutifs d'un emballage exécuté suivant la présente invention.
Dans la-pratique industrielle cette opération de montage, trop laborieuse et trop lente pour le travail en série, ne conviendrait qu'excep- tionnellement, par exemple pour les emballages relativement grands et simples à petit nombre de feuilles-cloisons 9.
Par contre, pour le montage rapide en série il est fait usager ' suivant l'invention, de formes, dont un exemple d'exécution non limitatif est représenté respectivement en coupe transversale et en perspective.sur les figures 8, 9 et 10, tandis que la figure 11 représente une feuille- enveloppe la-lb et une feuille d'écartement 21a-21b pour deux boites jumelées, à 6 compartiments chacune, montables rapidement à l'aide de la forme suivant les figures 8 à 10 et pouvant"être séparées à volonté suivant les pointillés ou perforations le, 21c.
La forme est constituée, par exemple par un bloc de bois 26, dont la tête est profilée en 27 de manière à correspondre à la configuration de l'ensemble des entailles en forme de fentes 11, 12, 11, 12 des feuilles-aloi- sons 9. La profondeur de l'évidement 28 de la forme dépasse la hauteur'des feuilles d'écartement 21. La tête de la forme est munie d'une série de fen- tes transversales,29, dont le nombre correspond par exemple au maximum de feuilles-cloisons 9 qu'on veut monter à la fois, la profondeur de' ces fentes correspondant à la hauteur des feuilles-cloisons 9, de manière que les entail- les en forme de fentes 11, 12, 11, 12 se présentent à fleur de la surfacé profilée de la tête 27, 27 de la forme 26 (voir figure 8).
Pour monter à l'aide de cette forme deux boîtes jumelées à 6 com- partiments chacune on introduit huit feuilles-cloisons 9 dans les huit fen- tes 29, comme représenté sur la figure 8. Puis on pose deux-feuilles-enve- loppes jumelées, 1a, 1b, avec leurs fentes 8 sur les coins extérieurs droits des bords-10,des,feuilles cloisons 9 et on rabat les feuilles-enveloppes vers la forme (voir figure 10) tout en pressant sur elles avec les doigts de façon à les introduire dans les fentes 11 sous les crochets 18. Ensuite on procède de la même façon pour deux feuilles-enveloppes jumelées 2a, 2b (non représen- tées) sur les coins extérieurs gauches des bords la de feuilles-cloisons 9.
Finalement on glisse les feuilles d'écartement jumelées 21a, 21b et après elles les bords de fond 13 des feuilles-enveloppes, dans les fentes 11. Le montage de l'emballage étant ainsi terminé, on le retire de la forme et on l'aplatit sur lui-même en exerçant une pression sur deux coins diagonalement opposés de l'emballage.
Pour l'amener en position prête à l'usage, il suffit d'appliquer une pression aux deux bords diagonalement opposés a, b, (voir figure 7) ou.. une traction aux deux bords diagonalement opposés c. d de l'emballage. Ce dernier s'épanouit alors automatiquement pour prendre la position suivant la figure 1 de ses éléments constitutifs.
Il suffit alors de placer la marchandise telle que par exemple des oeufs 25 dans les compartiments de l'emballage et de fermer ce dernier en rabattant les couvercles 5 et en-insérant les languettes 17 dans les ou- vertures 16. '
Le tout est ainsi prêt au transport et à la mise sur le marché.
Les feuilles-cloisons 9 ont utilement une hauteur telle que les pattes 20 se présentent au-dessus.'des fentes'8 des feuilles-enveloppes 1 et 2 et prennent appui entre ces dernières lorsque l'emballage est fermé.

Lorsque l'emballage est aplati sur lui-même, ces pattes glissent sur la face inférieure des feuilles-enveloppes et prennent finalement la position repré- sentée sur la figure 7.
Dans l'exemple représenté, le système des pattes 20 et des enco- ches 19 permet, d'une .part, de.donner à la partie supérieure de l'emballage, en position de service, une largeur intérieure égale à lalongueur des feuil- les-cloisons.9 de sorte que les bords latéraux des feuilles-cloisons ne dé- passent paslatéralement la partie supérieure de l'emballage en position de service, tandis que, d'autre part, il permet aux bords latéraux des feuilles cloisons de dépasser les bords des fentes 8 correspondantes, aussi bien à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur de l'emballage, lorsque ce dernier est aplati sur'lui-même, comme c'est représenté sur la figure 7.
Il est évident que l'emballage suivant l'invention pourrait être exécuté au±si sans le système d'encoches et de pattes 19, 20, mais dans ce cas -la partie correspondante des bords latéraux des feuilles-cloisons ne se- rait pas obligée de s'effacer dans l'emballage lorsque ce dernier occupe sa position de service.
Dans l'exemple représenté les crochets 18 des feuilles-cloisons 9 ont un contour extérieur qui leur confère la fonction de pattes, par les- quelles l'emballage avec son contenu est retenu en service en une position de repos stable.
,Cette forme des crochets 18 ni- est toutefois pas indispensable, pas plus que la forme courbe des entailles en forme de fentes 12, qui peuvent avoir aussi une forme brisée voire même droite, comme celle des entailles en forme defentes 11..
Finalement, il n'est pas indispensable d'utiliser les feuilles d'écartement 21. En effet, il n'est pas toujours indispensable de tenir la partie médiane des feuilles-cloisons 9 à un écartement rigide l'une de 1''autre. Il est donc possible de supprimer les feuilles 'd'écartement 21 et de donner au rebord de fond 13 des feuilles-enveloppes 1 et 2 une largeur convenablement agrandie, mais sans entailles 23, ces rebords de fond étant susceptibles de glisser librement dans les entailles 11 lors de l'apla- tissement et de la mise en position de service de l'emballage.
'Parmi les avantages offerts par la présente invention on peut . citer, outre la grande facilité'et solidité de l'assemblage des éléments constitutifs dé l'emballage, et outre la possibilité de l'aplatir sur lui- même et de l'amener en position de service par simple pression-ou traction diagonale sans plus, la grande résistance .de l'emballage à toute déforma- tion en position de service; la protection très efficace qu'il offre à la marchandise, les diverses formes avantageuses qu'il est possible de lui , donner et la'possibilité de le munir d'un fond complètement fermé, ce qui garantit. la propreté de la marchandise, même en cas d'endommagement acciden- tel du contenu d'un emballage.
Bien entendu, il est possible d'exécuter l'invention de diverses manières autres que celles décrites plus haut, sans sortir pour cela du cadre de l'invention proprement dite.

The partition sheets 9 have a useful height such that the tabs 20 are above the slots 8 in the envelope sheets 1 and 2 and bear therebetween when the packaging is closed.

This shape of the hooks 18 is not essential, however, nor is the curved shape of the notches in the form of slots 12, which may also have a broken or even straight shape, like that of the notches in the form of slits 11.
Finally, it is not essential to use the spacer sheets 21. In fact, it is not always essential to keep the middle part of the partition-sheets 9 at a rigid spacing from one another. . It is therefore possible to eliminate the spacer sheets 21 and to give the bottom edge 13 of the envelope sheets 1 and 2 a suitably enlarged width, but without notches 23, these bottom edges being capable of sliding freely in the notches. 11 when flattening and placing the packaging in service position.
