Figure 1 est une vue brisée en élévation du bac;
Figure 2 est une vue en élévation du bac dans un plan perpendi- culaire à celui de Figa 1 ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

TRAY FOR PLACING ON WAGON OR PILES OF MIGRAILS AND OTHER PRODUCTS
IN BULK.
Trays are known intended for placing on wagons or in piles of scrap metal and other bulk products, the emptying of which is effected by opening from the side or from the bottom of the container. But, generally, this emptying is only obtained following a double operation starting from the overhead crane which brought the container to the desired location. In addition, the re-installation, after emptying, movable partitions or movable partitions require maneuvers which are often complicated and sometimes dangerous.
These drawbacks are avoided according to the present invention by virtue of the fact that the tank is provided with a pivotable movable bottom supported laterally by a double articulated linkage, each connected to a spring rod capable of sliding vertically along the tank, so to be able to be locked onto the latter in the closed position.
Preferably, the movable bottom of the tank consists of two identical panels pivotally mounted on the tank.
The container which is the object of the invention has yet other characteristics, which will be described below with reference to the appended drawing, which represents, by way of example only, one embodiment of the invention. . In this drawing
Figure 1 is a broken elevational view of the tray;
Figure 2 is an elevational view of the tray in a plane perpendicular to that of Figa 1;
Figure 3 is a section through III-III of fig. 20
As shown in the drawing, the sheet metal container 1 is of section
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
rectangular; its dimensions can obviously vary according to the desired loading capacity; on the other hand, depending on the circumstances, a riveted or welded construction can be used in accordance with known techniques.
The bottom of the tank consists of two identical panels 2a, 2b each formed of a sheet riveted to a frame of angle irons carried by the rod 3 of hinges 4 fixed to the lower part of the tank.
Each panel 2a, 2b is connected externally on either side of the tank by means of an articulated rod 5a, 5b to a common pivot 6 carried at the lower end of a rod 7 capable of sliding at the interior of a tube 8 carried by the tank 1 by means of fastening collars 9.
A spring 10 is wound around the rod 7, which is supported on the one hand on a washer 11 closing off the base of the tube 8 and on the other. hand against a head 12 surmounting said rod and also capable of sliding inside the tube 80 This head 12 is pierced at its upper part with a hole 13 directed towards the tank 1 perpendicular to the rod 7.
In each of the opposed devices thus described, under the action of the spring 10, the head 12 projects out of the tube 8, so that its hole 13 is provided in the extension of a bore 14 provided. in une.patte.15 projecting above the tray 1, to which it is fixed, so that keys 16 introduced simultaneously into the holes 13 and 14 of each rod lock these rods in the unclosed position of the mo panels - biles 2a, 2bo
The pivot 6 is further guided in its vertical movement by a slide formed by two parallel bars 17 fixed to the tray.
The container thus closed at its base can be easily loaded with scrap metal or other products using a wheelbarrow or a shovel. When it is full, the container is hung, in a known manner, with the help cables or chains, on the hook of an overhead crane or crane that will bring it, for example, above a wagon. @ @
It will therefore suffice to release the keys 16, * without a special operation of the bridge or of the: crane being necessary, so that the mobile panels 2a, 2b open under the weight of the load., As shown in dashed lines in fig. 2. This opening causes the descent of the rods 7 and consequently the compression of the springs 10.
The emptying thus takes place in a safe and easy manner, the bridge or the crane only having to perform a lifting movement. In addition, the springs 10 are calculated so that, after emptying, the panels 2a, 2b are not recalled completely, but leave a certain passage opening ;, so that the emptying is really complete. The total closure of these panels is then obtained quite naturally when the empty tank is brought back by the bridge or the crane to the filling location and then resting with its bottom on the ground or a suitable surface.
At this moment ;, the heads 12 of the rods 7 again protrude sufficiently out of the tubes 8 so that the panels 2a, 2b can be locked using the keys 160
We would not go beyond the scope of the invention by '. adopting for the construction of the locking device other methods emerging from current technology. @
As it appears from the description above, 'this type of tank has the great advantage of requiring only one command; moreover, the emptying and the installation are carried out in a very fast way using only a reduced manpower ...
