La présente invention est relative à des bretelles pour soutenir un vêtement inférieur tel qu'un pantalon, une jupe, dont la ceinture est pourvue de boutons oû analogues placés intérieurement, qui l'assujettis- sent à des pattes correspondantes portées extérieurement par un vêtement su- périeur, par exemple une chemise ou une blouse, lesdites bretelle étant for- mées de lanières auxquelles appendent des boucles pour y assujettir des atta- cheso
Les bretelles qui demeurent visibles lorsqu'elles sont portées, manquent totalement d'élégance. Pour obvier à ce défaut, on a imaginé antérieurement, des vêtements supérieurs, notamment des chemises, sur les- quels sont cousues extérieurement des bandes faisant office de lanières et qui sont terminées par des pattes auxquelles s'attachent le vêtement infé- rieur.
Ces bandes sont généralement faites du même tissu que le vêtement supérieure On a aussi proposé de coudre de semblables bandes à l'intérieur du vêtement supérieur, dans le but de lessoustraire encore plus complètement à la vue. Les lanières ou bretelles ainsi agencées forment entièrement corps avec le vêtement supérieur et les sollicitations auxquelles elles sont soumi- ses tiraillent ce vêtement supérieur, donnant lieu à des effets disgracieux et faisant éprouver de la gêne à la personne.pprtant de tels vêtements.
L'invention a pour but de remédier à ces derniers inconvénients en procurant des bretelles non apparentes constituées de lanières éventuel- lement élastiques, tout comme les bretelles couramment portées pour soutenir les pantalons.
A cet effet, dans les bretelles suivant l'invention, chacune des pattes précitées est continuée par un bout de ruban placé intérieurement au vêtement supérieur susdit et fixé à celui-ci par une extrémité qui est super- posée à -attache de la patte considérée et qui porte un bouton engagé, dans une boutonnière que présente l'autre extrémité dudit bout de ruban, après pas-

sage de celui-ci dans une des boucles susmentionnées, le vêtement inférieur étant ainsi relié aux lanières susnommées qui se portent sous le vêtement supérieur.

La figure 1 montre un vêtement supérieur vu de devant, portant des attaches pour retenir un vêtement inférieur au moyen de bretelles non apparentes.

Les bretelles soutiennent un vêtement inférieur 1, partielle- ment représenté, tel qu'un pantalon, une jupe ..... La ceinture de ce vête- ment est pourvue de boutons placés intérieurement et est maintenue par des pattes 3 portées extérieurement par un vêtement supérieur 4 auquel elles sont cousues. Le vêtement supérieur 4 peut être, par exemple, une chemise ou une blouse. Les pattes 3 sont, de préférence, faites du même tissu que le vêtement 4 et présentent chacune une boutônnière dans laquelle est en- gagé un bouton correspondant de la ceinture du vêtement'inférieur 1. On placera avantageusement devant et derrière le vêtement supérieur 4, une paire de pattes 3 disposées symétriquement.
A la ceinture du vêtement in- férieur 1, seront donc cousus intérieurement, autant de boutons qu'i'l est prévu de pattes 3, soit, en l'occurrence, quatre boutons. Chacune des pat- tes 3 est:continuée par un bout de ruban 7 attaché intérieurement, également par couture, au vêtement supérieur 4. Le bout de ruban 7, représenté isolé- ment à la figure 5, est ainsi fixé par une extrémité qui est superposée à l'attache de la patte 3 correspondante, patte et bout de ruban pouvant être assujettis au vêtement supérieur 4 par un même . L'extrémité pré- citée porte un bouton 8 tandis que' l'autre-extrémité du bout de ruban 7 pré- sente au moins une boutonnière 9. Les bretelles sont constituées, ainsi qu'il est connu, de lanière 5 auxquelles appendent des boucles 6 pour y as- sujettir des attaches.
Elles sont portées sous le vêtement supérieur 4 et sont, de préférence, en élastique. 'Elles peuvent aussi être pourvues d'agrafes ou de boucles de serrage 10 qui permettent d'ajuster la longueur utile des lanières 5. Ces dernières sont, de plus, passées dans des coulis- ses 11 prévues sous les épaulettes du vêtement-supérieur 4, cet assemblage facilitant l'habillageo Généralement, les bretelles seront.garnies d'au- tant de boucles 6 qu'il est prévu de bouts de rubans 7 placés en correspon- dancee Pour retenir le vêtement inférieur 1 à l'aide des bretelles (voir figure 6), il suffit de passer chaque bout de ruban 7 dans la boucle 6 cor- respondante et, repliant le ruban sur lui-même, d'engager le bouton 8 dans une boutonnière 9 de l'extrémité libre de ce ruban;
le vêtement 1 étant, pour le surplus, attaché aux pattes 3.
Les dispositions suivant l'invention concilient donc l'aisance du port d'un vêtement inférieur suspendu à des bretelles détachables, éven- tuellement élastiques, à l'élégance quis'attache à soustraire à la vue les moyens de suspension dudit vêtement. De plus, elles permettent de faire

bouffer de façon heureuse, à la ceinture, le vêtement supérieur, masquant complètement la jointure de ce dernier avec le vêtement inférieur.
Il doit être entendu que l'invention n'est nullement limitée à la réalisation décrite ci-avant et que bien des modifications peuvent y être apportées sans sortir du cadre de la présente demande de brevet.
On pourrait notamment agencer les lanières suivant tout mode désirable et, par exemple, en les croisant.
On pourrait aussi modifier le nombre de pattes et de bouts de ruban qui relient le vêtement inférieur aux lanières.
On pourrait encore donner aux pattes, toutes formes et dimen- sions souhaitables.
REVENDICATIONS.
1. Bretelles pour soutenir un vêtement inférieur (1) tel qu'un pantalon, une jupe, ...,dont la ceinture est pourvue de boutons ou analogues placés intérieurement, qui l'assujettissent à des pattes (3) correspondantes portées extérieurement par un vêtement supérieur (4), par exemple une chemise ou une blouse, lesdites bretelles étant formées de lanières (5) auxquelles appendent des boucles (6) pour y assujettir des attaches, caractérisées en ce que chacune des pattes (3) précitées est continuée par un bout de ruban (7) placé intérieurement au vêtement supérieur (4) susdit et fixé à celui- ci par une extrémité qui est superposée à l'attache de la patte (3) considérée et qui porte un bouton (8) engagé, dans une boutonnière (9)
que présente l'au- tre extrémité dudit bout de ruban (7), après passage de celui-ci dans une des boucles (6) susmentionnées, le vêtement inférieur (1) étant ainsi relié aux lanières (5),susnommées qui se portent sous le vêtement supérieur (4).

STRAPS
The present invention relates to suspenders for supporting an undergarment such as trousers, a skirt, the belt of which is provided with buttons or the like placed internally, which secure it to corresponding tabs worn externally by a garment on the inside. - lower, for example a shirt or a blouse, said straps being formed of thongs to which are appended loops in order to secure fasteners thereto.
The straps which remain visible when worn, are totally lacking in elegance. To obviate this defect, it was previously imagined upper garments, in particular shirts, on which bands are sewn on the outside acting as thongs and which terminate in tabs to which the lower garment is attached.
These bands are generally made of the same fabric as the upper garment. It has also been proposed to sew similar bands to the inside of the upper garment, in order to keep it even more completely out of view. The straps or suspenders thus arranged form an entire body with the upper garment and the stresses to which they are subjected pull this upper garment, giving rise to unsightly effects and causing discomfort to the person wearing such garments.
The object of the invention is to remedy these latter drawbacks by providing concealed suspenders made up of possibly elastic straps, just like the suspenders commonly worn to support trousers.
To this end, in the straps according to the invention, each of the aforementioned tabs is continued by a piece of tape placed inside the aforementioned upper garment and fixed to the latter by an end which is superimposed on the tab in question. and which carries a button engaged, in a buttonhole that has the other end of said piece of ribbon, after passing

wise of the latter in one of the aforementioned loops, the lower garment being thus connected to the aforementioned straps which are worn under the upper garment.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description of suspenders, given below by way of nonlimiting example and with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows an upper garment viewed from the front, carrying fasteners for retaining a lower garment by means of concealed straps.
Figure 2 shows the upper garment shown in Figure 2, but seen from the back.
Figure 3 shows the arrangements shown in Figure 1, completed by an arrangement of straps.
Figure 4 shows the arrangements shown in figure 2., completed by an arrangement of suspenders.

In the various figures, the same reference notations designate elements which are identical or perform identical functions.
The straps support a lower garment 1, partially shown, such as trousers, a skirt, etc. The waistband of this garment is provided with buttons placed internally and is maintained by tabs 3 worn externally by a upper garment 4 to which they are sewn. The upper garment 4 can be, for example, a shirt or a blouse. The tabs 3 are preferably made of the same fabric as the garment 4 and each have a buttonhole in which is engaged a corresponding button of the waistband of the lower garment 1. The upper garment 4 is advantageously placed in front and behind. a pair of legs 3 arranged symmetrically.
To the waistband of the lower garment 1, therefore, as many buttons will be sewn internally as there are tabs 3, ie, in this case, four buttons. Each of the tabs 3 is: continued by a piece of tape 7 attached internally, also by sewing, to the upper garment 4. The piece of tape 7, shown in isolation in FIG. 5, is thus fixed by an end which is superimposed on the attachment of the corresponding tab 3, tab and end of tape can be secured to the upper garment 4 by the same. The aforementioned end has a button 8 while the other end of the piece of tape 7 has at least one buttonhole 9. The arrangements according to the invention therefore reconcile the ease of wearing an lower garment suspended from detachable, possibly elastic, shoulder straps with the elegance which attaches to the means of suspending said garment being hidden from view. In addition, they allow you to

It should be understood that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment described above and that many modifications can be made to it without departing from the scope of the present patent application.
