<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

REVENDICATIONS.

"CLAMPING DEVICE".
The invention relates to a clamping device for coding walls, columns and similar concrete structures, in which there is a connecting rod passing through the wall to be built with bases intended for clamping the formwork located on both sides, which rod has at least one end of the transverse holes, a transverse piece having passed through one of the holes, and at the opposite end a means for clamping the device.
The drawing shows by way of example three embodiments of the present invention.
FIG. 1 shows in section on the left a part of the first embodiment and on the right a part of the second embodiment.
Figure 2 is a plan view of Figure 1.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
FIG. 3 shows in section, with parts not cut, the third embodiment.
The clamping device according to figure 1 on the left has a flat bar 1, which passes through the two reeds placed one opposite the other of the wall to be built, emerges from it and presents to its two ends of two rows 6 and 7 of holes 2 arranged alternately with respect to each other in the direction of the length of the flat iron. At each end of the flat iron 1 is arranged so as to be able to slide on it, a stop plate 3 and 4 which can be clamped by the wedge 5 against the crosspieces 8 and 9. The holes in the rows of holes 6 and 7 are arranged in such a way that after the complete forcing of a wedge in a hole of a series of holes, they allow to force a wedge in a hole of the second series of holes arranged next to the first series holes and in this way tighten plates 3 and 4 again.
The sleepers 8 and 9 rest on the beams 10, which are arranged on the formwork 11. To keep the formwork at a determined distance from each other, we have mounted on the part of the flat bar 1 which is between these forms, a tubular spacer surrounding the flat iron 12, the opening segment of which is greater than the section of the flat iron 1 passed through the opening.
The length of the spacer corresponds to the thickness of the wall. The spacer comprises a main part made of concrete or other stony material, which remains in the masonry and at least a short end part 13 of cast iron or the like which is hammered away from the wall and pulled out. after the clamping device has been removed, after which the opening in the masonry can be closed with plaster. Since the main part of the spacer is made of a stony material, it is inexpensive, and does not oxidize. When removing the casing, the flat bar can be easily removed from the spacer thanks to the larger opening of the spacer.
The opening of the spacer serving to receive the

flat iron can have a rectangular, round or oval section.
In the embodiment shown at the bottom of Figure 1, the stop plates 3 are flat. In the embodiment shown at the top of Figure 1, instead of the plane stop plates 3, stop plates 4 are provided with an attached guide piece which has recesses 14 in which can be used. be introduced the corner 5.
In this case, there could also be provided in the flat iron only a series of holes for the wedge, in which case the insert guide piece should be given such a length that after the wedge has been completely forced. in the recesses 14 of the insert guide piece, it is no longer possible to slide the stop plate 4 by means of this wedge, but such a sliding can still be obtained by clamping another wedge behind the end of the attached guide piece, passing through a hole 2 in the flat bar. In this embodiment, the spacer consists of a single piece of stony material, but could also have a conformation similar to that of the first embodiment.
In order to prevent the parts from wearing out, the flat iron can be provided with 2 holes, the narrow sides of which are in the form of semicircles or oval holes, and the wedge can have a sectional form corresponding to the holes. .
It is also possible to mount, tilting on the flat iron, a lever which oscillates around a bolt which can be passed through the flat iron and whose bearing face against the stop plates has the shape of an eccentric cam, so that the stop plate is pressed against the formwork by the rotation of this lever around the bolt passed through a hole in the flat iron.
The end piece of the spacer can be provided with rounded edges.
The clamping device can also be fitted on one side with a stop plate 3 without an attached guide piece and on the opposite side with a stop plate 4 with an attached guide piece.
The clamping device according to figure 3 has a @
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
rod 16 for tightening the shutters, provided with transverse holes 17 allowing coarse adjustment by one end, and serving to receive a transverse bolt 18 which rests against the base 19. The latter rests on the beam 20 which leans against the panel 21.
At the opposite end, the rod 16 is provided with a thread 22, for example a square thread and the nut 23 having two sleeves 24. The nut 23 presses on the base 25 and presses it against the beam 26, which rests against the panel 27.
If we tighten the nut 23, the forms 21 and 27 are tightened against each other, and the interval between them is adjusted.
A spacer tube 28 prevents the reduction, beyond the prescribed limit, of the gap between the forms. The nut 23 may be provided with a protective casing extending over the thread 22, not shown in the drawing.
A square net or cord net should be provided for the connecting rod, since this type of net is most resistant to damage.
