"Brûleur à combustible liquide. "

"Liquid fuel burner."
The present invention relates to a liquid fuel burner, comprising a receptacle containing the fuel, a fuel supply means, an air supply device used for combustion and a starter device.
In known liquid fuel burners, the mass of fuel is ignited by means of a wick.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate the wick by splitting the fuel as much as possible, so that once ignited, in a starter device, it causes combustion of the mass.
For this purpose, the starting device consists of a cup receiving the liquid fuel, which is ignited, said fuel already ignited, flowing drop by drop in

the container containing the fuel.
In an advantageous embodiment of the object of the invention, the aforementioned cup consists of a sheave.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
shallow flared tackle, having edges provided with at least one groove, preferably radial, through which the ignited fuel flows out of the drip cup.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description of a liquid fuel burner given by way of non-limiting example and with reference to the accompanying drawing.
Figure 1 shows a vertical section of the burner according to the invention.
Figure 2 is the section taken on line 1-1 of Figure 1.
Figure 3 is similar to the lower part of Figure 1, but relates to a variant.
The burner comprises a receptacle, the walls 1 of which will be heated when the burner is started. This receptacle will therefore be the home itself. The lower edges 2 of the container are folded and raised towards the center to form the chimney 3 for air intake. The end of the edges 2 supports a cylinder 4 pierced with holes 5, through which the air sucked in by the chimney 3 will spread into the receptacle and not only provide the air necessary for the combustion of the liquid fuel located at 6 , but will cause the required draft. The cylinder 4 is surmounted by a cup 7 which may be made of cast iron or as a refractory, and which is provided with flow grooves 8, formed radially.
The walls of the container 1 have an elbow 9 sufficiently close to the outer edge of the cup 7 to create a space intended to cause the suction of the air which is admitted through the orifices 5 of the cylinder 4. The cup 7 is filled with liquid fuel supplied via a line 10. Once the cup has been filled, the container itself is filled at 6.
The liquid is ignited in the cup, the latter thanks to the grooves 8, flows outward. The edges of the cup are preferably arranged in line with the vertical walls of the neck.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
of 9, so that the ignited drops of fuel rebound on the elbow and fall on fire into the mass of liquid 6. The additional air supply can be made by leaving holes in the lower part of the receptacle 1 feed 11.
As combustion takes place, the flames will rise and go around the cup. To ensure the direct heating of the walls 1, which is necessary to heat them as quickly as possible, a cone 12, the top of which is directed towards the cup, is arranged above the latter, the generatrices of the cone thus serving as guiding the flames and bringing them closer to the walls.
To adjust the air inlet in the chimney 3, there is provided a register 13 or a suction means known per se, such as a carburetor, etc .....
The lower part 2 of the container 1 (FIG. 3) can be brought together and consist of a double wall, filled with a material 14 which is insulating from the thermal point of view and refractory, such as for example glass wool. In this way, this lower part of the container could possibly be detached to clean the interior of the container. The thermal insulation also makes it possible to manipulate the damper or the suction means in full operation, without danger of burns.
It should be understood that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment described above and that many modifications can be made to it, in particular as regards the form, the constitution, the number and the arrangement of elements involved in its beaconing, without departing from the scope of the present patent application, provided that these changes are compatible with the spirit of the claims set out below. The fuel could in particular be reheated.
