COLLAR OVEN TIGHTENING OF FLEXIBLE PIPES
ON TUBING, NOZZLES, ETC.
Clamps for clamping flexible hoses (eg flexible rubber hoses) to pipes, fittings, etc., are known, in which a support for a workpiece is attached to one end of the clamp. transverse able to pivot about an axis parallel to the axis of the flexible pipe and in which: is housed a clamping screw whose axis is perpendicular to the aforementioned axis, and whose thread can mesh in a corresponding toothing at the other end of the collar, so that it is possible to tighten le'collier by a rotation of the screw and to keep the screw automatically locked in the toothing by the. clamping force.
However, it has been observed that the tightened clamping screw can easily deviate, so that its engagement with the teeth is canceled.
The object of the present invention is to set aside this said *. difficulty and this is obtained by providing the support at a certain distance from the pivoting transverse part, at at least one side of the screw, with a tab intended to be lowered against the meshed screw, in order to avoid its deflection.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.

bind.
Fig. 3 is a side view.
The band of the collar 1 is handled at one end of a toothing 8 suitably imprinted and extending over a quarter of its length.
The other end of the ... collar is fixed to a support 3, fixed by welding in a suitable manner. The support is provided with support ears 4 for end journals 5, parallel to the axis of the flexible pipe, with a transverse piece 6 pivoting around them, constituting the support for the final journal 7 a clamping via 8 with a transverse slot 9 in a free end. The screw is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the transverse part 2 and, by pivoting, can engage with the toothing 2.
After placing the collar 1 on the flexible pipe to be clamped on a tubing, a nozzle, etc., insert the end of the collar provided with the teeth between the two ears, directed outwards, of the support 5 and lower the screw so that its thread 2 engages the inserted end of the collar. Then bend one of the tabs 11 at the lugs 4 against the screw 8 so that the latter is held in the meshed position with the teeth and it is then possible, with a screwdriver inserted into the transverse slot 9, to turn the screw and to tighten the clamp around the flexible pipe in this way.
Fig. 3 shows one of the tabs 11 lowered into the fixing position, while the other remains available as a spare, in the event that the first tab breaks as a result of the continual lowering and straightening.
