<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Sur ce dessin: la fig. 1 représente l'ossature selon l'invention en demi élévation ; la fig. 2 représente en perspective cavalière la fourrure spéciale de faîtage; la fig. 3 représente une coupe de l'arbalétrier faite en A; la fig. 4 représente une coupe de l'entrait faite en B ; la fig. 5 représente une coupe du poteau de ferme faite en C; la fig. 6 représente une coupe du poteau inter- médiaire faite en D; la fig. 7 représente une coupe d'une contrefiche faite en E; la fig. 8 représente une coupe de la semelle transversale faite en F; la fig. 9 représente en élévation le poteau d'angle vu du côté longitudinal;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
la fig. 10 est, en plan, une vue correspondant à la précédente ; la fig. 11 est une coupe par une cheville;
En 1, le sol sur lequel est posée la construction provisoire faite avec l'ossature selon invention;
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

WOODEN HOUSING FRAME FOR TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTIONS FULLY REMOVABLE AND ALLOWING LOCKING WITHOUT LOSS OF SPACE IN THE WAGONS.
The present invention relates to a wooden hut frame for temporary constructions, completely removable, and the elements of which can be assembled, for transport, in rectangular packages, very regular. These packages can therefore be housed and secured in the wagons without loss of space.
A first characteristic of the invention is to provide the framework made up of trusses, farm posts, intermediate posts, frame posts, footings, roof battens and joint covers, which can be dismantled into as many elements, the assembly being done, on the site of construction, by cylindrical wooden dowels, thanks to a prior rational machining.
An object of the present invention is to machine the above wooden elements of single, standardized and calibrated section so as to allow rapid assembly, on and without play, with the minimum of work.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
at the place of construction of the barracks.
Another characteristic is to be able to package each series of similar elements in a regular volume judiciously calculated to be housed in the wagons without loss of space.
Another object of the invention is to provide the farm with the entry and the crossbowmen molded and braced by furs leaving between them a housing forming a mortise. Likewise, the truss posts are made up of two joists of the same squaring as the stringer and the crossbeams and braced by a special furring comprising a recess forming a mortise to receive a key piece.
A characteristic is to judiciously arrange the struts and the gussets of end plates coming to be lodged in the mortises of the ties, crossbow and posts, the whole being firmly triangulated and fixed by cylindrical plugs already mentioned.
Another object is to provide a minimum of elements for any design of construction, dwelling, work room, dormitory, garage, stable with outbuildings, WC, stake, and receiving the infill formed simply of 3 types of cladding panels, floor, and roof.
Another characteristic is to arrange the transverse flange of the construction with a batten forming a strip of floor panels and recalling the thickness of the web of the entry, the center distance of two neighboring trusses, according to the invention. , being one meter, (the width of the panels, described by the Belgian patent application filed on June 18, 1946 under No. 361,665) plus the thickness of the web of the entry.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
It is therefore easy to see that this framework, made rigid by the bracing formed by the exterior and ceiling cladding panels, the floor panels and the roof panels, will present the maximum resistance with minimum assembly work and for transport, a volume four times less than that occupied in the wagons by the solutions envisaged to date.
Other characteristics will emerge from the description which will be given with reference to the appended drawing which represents schematically and simply, by way of example, an end truss according to the invention with a range of 4 meters.
In this drawing: fig. 1 shows the framework according to the invention in half elevation; fig. 2 is a cavalier perspective of the special ridge fur; fig. 3 shows a cross-section of the crossbowman made at A; fig. 4 shows a section of the entry made at B; fig. 5 shows a section of the farm post made at C; fig. 6 shows a section of the intermediate post made at D; fig. 7 shows a section of a strut made at E; fig. 8 shows a section of the transverse flange made at F; fig. 9 shows in elevation the corner post seen from the longitudinal side;
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
fig. 10 is a plan view corresponding to the previous one; fig. 11 is a cut through an ankle;
fig. 12 is a perspective view of a package of components ready to be stowed on a wagon.
In 1, the ground on which the provisional construction made with the framework according to the invention is placed;
In 2 and 2a, the first sole composed of one frieze per farm in the transverse direction and another connecting the farms. In 3 and 3a respectively the second part of the sole following the farm and following the side of the construction. In 4 and 4a - 4b the joists making up the farm post, the joist 4a having a greater width than the joists 4 and 4b and flush with a field on the inside of the construction.
This post 4-4a-4b receives at its upper end a gusset 5, instead of a certain length of its central joist 4a, to connect it to the entry 6-7, part 7 of which is not shown on the drawing.
The two entry sections 6 and 7 being connected by the bolted spacer 8, being housed between the two joists 6-6a and 7-7a, placed in the form of molds and spacers on the right and on the left by the furring 9. A plumb with the latter, the entry has a section presenting 3 identical joists, the center of which is offset in relation to the other two 6-6a, the interior part left free will play the role of rebate for the intermediate posts that the 'we would like to place it directly above the farm.
In lo-loa the joists closing the crossbow of the frame are in the form of molds receiving the
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
spacers 11 and 12; directly above these spacers, the section has three equal rectangles. The spacer 11 abuts on a notch 13 of the gusset 5, the free ends, on the ridge side, are not of the same length to allow the ends of the symmetrical crossbow to come together with the lo-loa crossbow. by means of a special jointing half-fur 14.
In fact, the posts 4-4b, ties 6-6a and crossbars 10-10a are identical segments and receive a series of gussets and spacers 4a-5-8-9- 11-12 and 14, judiciously placed so that the voids left between these parts form mortises in which the struts 1516 and 17 fit together as a tenon. These key pieces being fixed to the other pieces by means of cylindrical wooden dowels 18-18a-18b, etc., previously installed.
In 19 and 19a an intermediate farm post which can play the role of a frame post, a partition post or a post for exterior cladding, these two twin joists are of the same squaring and one, the 19, exceeds the joist 19a of its thickness at its upper end. It is the tenon 20 which allows the post to fit into the entry 6-6a by occupying the rebate left free by the furring strips 8 and 9. The lower part of the post 19-19a can present two aspects depending on its use. is or is not for an end farm. If the post is inside the construction, it is flush with the floor 20 where it is simply pointed. Otherwise, it fits into a mortise made in the transverse flange 3.
The floor 20 shown here in the drawing simply for the understanding of the assembly is made of panels
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
one meter wide according to the spirit of the previous patent, it fits between 2 battens 21 of two neighboring trusses, and its joists 22 for maintaining the floorboards come to accommodate their end in a notch
23 of the longitudinal sole 3a. The batten 21 is intended to remind the thickness of the web of the crossbowman at the same time as to form a floor strip between two neighboring panels 20.
Still for the understanding of the assembly, we have shown in points drawn the filling panels
24 being the subject of another Belgian patent filed on the same day.
Finally, at 25, the roof battens which are squaring sufficient to support any roof with exceptional overloads, these battens 25 also making with the various panels for filling the ceiling and roof cladding a ridge link and extraordinarily powerful bracing.
It is easy to notice that such a calibrated framework, all the faces of the elements having been planed, offers guarantees of rapidity of assembly, solidity, disassembly and above all, packaging; all its parts are of the same thickness, of regular shape, the lengths having been judiciously calculated so that the elements of the same type and of different lengths form regular bundles and of a single length less than the length of a wagon.
It goes without saying that the invention has been described for purely explanatory and non-limiting purposes and that one could without changing one's mind, modify the details thereof.
This is how we could, for example, not make the spacers of the parts of the entire length of the parts and
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
present cleats simply in line with the mortises.
One could, moreover, replace by small staves the four central struts by a turned up entry.
In addition, for larger spans, you can multiply the number of struts at will. We could also replace the wooden dowels with bolts.
