Reel tank.
The present invention relates to a reel tub for dyeing strips of fabric or similar materials, in particular silk, artificial silk, cellulosic wool, etc., which are passed through the dye bath, and the invention consists essentially in that, in the region of the tank closest to the point of exit of the material from the dye bath, below the lowest level is present. so much for the dye bath, we have a room
of dye mixture, the delimitation of which relative to the dye bath forms part of the inner surface of the tank and advantageously the lower part of the rear wall of the tank. According to the present invention, the rear wall of the cooker is inclined, at least in its lower part, at an angle of 20 [deg.] - 50 [deg.], Preferably less than 40 [deg.], With respect to the horizontal, the dye mixing chamber being arranged essentially in the region of the lower part of this wall. The boundary between the dye mixing chamber and the dye bath is further advantageously formed by a plate provided with openings, placed
flush with the inner surface of the tank '.
The constitution of the following reel tank
the present invention offers essential advantages over conventional tubs with a reel. By the fact that
the dye mixing chamber is in communication with the dye bath at a place located in a low position, it becomes possible to obtain, even in the case of lowered position of the level of the dye bath, an irreproachable revival of the dye bath so that a small amount of liquid is sufficient and that large amounts of dye bath can be saved. In addition, despite the small amount of the bath, a uniform dyeing is ensured by the fact that the supply / dye does not take place
at a place where the material is at rest but in the region of the tank closest to the place of exit of the material * from the dye bath, behind the place where the material lands on the bottom, that is ie where the material is extracted by the reel and is therefore in motion.
Thanks to the arrangement, according to the present invention, of the dye mixing chamber and the fact that the freshly added dye is thoroughly mixed with the bath liquid before entering the dye bath and is diluted consequently, it is possible to arrange the outlet point of the revived dye bath close to the material without endangering the uniformity of the dyeing, while until now it was necessary to provide an appropriate interval in which the freshly supplied dye liquid could be distributed. It therefore becomes possible, thanks to the present invention, by a thorough adaptation of the shape of the tank
to the poesition of the material in the tank by the fact that the rear wall of the tank is inclined relative to the horizontal, to keep the capacity of the tank particularly small. As a result of the arrangement, according to the present invention, of the dye mixing chamber below the lowest level occurring in the bath, in the region of the tank closest to the point of exit of the material from the dye bath, and because of the simultaneous arrangement of an inclined rear wall of the tank, therefore, a particularly great saving in dye bath liquid is produced.
According to the present invention, supply members for steam and supply members for colorant or other necessary additions are arranged in
the dye mixing chamber in such a way that by
the direction of the entry of vapor into the dye mixing chamber, a flow is produced which may be favored by the arrangement of conductive surfaces, which flow causes suction of the liquid from the dye bath into the dye mixing chamber in the part located near the point of entry of the material and an expulsion of the liquid treated with the fresh dye in the part, adjacent to the place of exit of the material, of the boundary between the dye bath and the mixing chamber of dye. To produce already in the mixing chamber
of dye a mixture as intimate as possible of the dye freshly supplied to the liquid of the dye bath, the inlet
dye can for example, according to the present invention,
be made transversely to the vapor stream in such a way that the dye stream is immediately seized by
the vapor stream. The supply units for steam and
The dye can, however, also be arranged in such a way with respect to each other that possibly with the help of conductive surfaces, there is essentially a flow between the two feed members, the entry of the dye is doing in this flow. It is also advantageous to have the steam inlet and the dye inlet
near where the bath liquid enters the mixing chamber, to ensure flawless mixing up to
only at the exit.
This intimate mix of freshly brought in dye
to the bath liquid in the dye mixing chamber also makes the mixing chamber very small
of dye itself. According to the present invention, the capacity in liters of the dye mixing chamber is
consequently less than 15%, advantageously from 3 to 12%,
the capacity in liters of the dye bath.
