<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
L'invention ast représentée sur le dessin ciannexé dans lequel;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Improvements to solid fuel fired kitchen stoves.
The invention relates to improvements to cooking stoves heated with solid fuel.
A stove according to the invention comprises a boiler having the form of a hollow column, preferably of cylindrical shape, arranged in an external flue rising from the stove and having a heat accumulation mass which enters the hearth of the stove through a flue opening leading from the fireplace to the said flue.
The boiler preferably extends the entire height from the base plate of the ashtray to the level of the top plate of the stove and is preferably
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
provided at its lower end with an external flange having a fairly large diameter, this flange resting on an appendage at the rear of the base plate of the ashtray with which it is in thermal contact, so that the heat radiated from the grate to the base plate of the ashtray is passed to the boiler.
On the outside of the boiler, there is preferably a helical or spiral shaped rib rising in a spiral from the heat storage mass to the upper end of the boiler, thus forcing the combustion gases. vertically cross the flue passage.
The boiler is preferably provided at its upper end with an outer flange having a fairly large diameter, to which a cover is attached, the flange and the cover being provided with cut-out parts constituting a flue outlet in a pipe provided with a adjustable damper communicating with the main stove flue.
The invention is shown in the accompanying drawing in which;
Fig. 1 is a vertical cross section and
Fig. 2 a rear view with partial cutaway on a reduced scale, of a stove fitted with the improved boiler.
The stove shown is of the heat storage type, but it is obvious that the invention can also be applied to other types of ovens and stoves supplied with solid fuel.
The stove shown comprises a hearth 1, a grid 2, an ashtray 3, superimposed ovens 4 arranged on one side of the hearth 1 and a heat accumulator 5 entering the hearth 1.
6 designates a boiler in the form of a hollow cylindrical column arranged in an upright external flue
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
7 of the stove and having a heat accumulating mass 8 of metal entering unilaterally into the fireplace 1 through a flue opening 9 leading from the fireplace 1 to the flue '7.
As can be seen in the drawing, the flue 7 forms an annular passage surrounding the boiler 6.
The boiler extends over the entire length from the base plate of the ashtray 10 to the level of the upper plate 11 of the stove and is provided at its lower end with an outer flange 12 having a fairly large diameter, this flange resting on a rear appendage 10a of the plate 10 and being in intimate thermal contact with the latter, so that the heat radiated from the grid 2 to the plate 10 is transmitted to the boiler.
On the outer part of the boiler 6, there is provided a helical rib 13 which ascends in a spiral from the heat storage mass 8 to the upper end of the boiler thereby directing the gas flow.
The boiler is provided at its upper end with an outer flange 14 having a fairly large diameter to which a cover 15 is fixed, the flange 14 and the cover 15 being provided with cut-out parts 16 forming a register and constituting a flue outlet opening into a pipe 17 provided with manually adjustable registers 18 and communicating with the main flue 19 of the stove.
20 denotes a cleaning door arranged at the lower end of the flue 7. 21 and 22 denote inlet and outlet pipes respectively serving the boiler 6.
