Le brevet principal n 314.553 a pour objet un foyer de cuisinière combiné avec un récipient bouilleur d'eau amovible et dont la paroi antérieure (exposée au feu) est on- dulée.
Il a été maintenant établi que l'effet de ces ondu- lations est considérablement amélioré au point de vue du tirage du foyer du côté du récipient bouilleur et également au point de vue de la diminution d'cnerassage des rentrants de ces ondu- lations par des imbrûlés, lorsque les rentrants des ondulations sont dégagésa leur buse de manière à permettre l'accès d'air immédiatement en dessous de ces rentrants. Ceux-ci agissent alors à la manière d'autant de cheminées pour le charbon de la grille qui y a pénétré, et ce charbon est brûlé beaucoup plus complètement.

En se reportant aux figs. 1 et 2 des oessins :
1 est le foyer ou fourneau oe cuisine,
2 est la grille,
3 est le pot bouilleur qui est amovible et dont la paroi antérieure 4 est onaulée.
5 est la plaque de support de ce pot bouilleur.
6 est une ouverture pratiquée dans cette plaque à la base des rentrants.
L'air d'en dessous pénètre par cette ouverture et monte dans les rentrants en y créant autant de cheminées et en y brûlant le charbon rassemblé. On constate que de cette manière la paroi antérieure s'encrasse beaucoup plus diffici- lement que dans le cas où les trous en question sont absents, et que le tirage du feu de ce côté du pot bouilleur se fait mieux.

1 est le port de fourneau, 5est le pot bouilleur s'appuyant sur des supports 5 et 6. L'air pénètre à la base 7 de chacun des rentrants des ondulations de la paroi 4 du pot bouilleur.

Main Patent No. 314,553 relates to a stove hearth combined with a removable water boiling vessel and the front wall (exposed to the fire) of which is corrugated.
It has now been established that the effect of these corrugations is considerably improved from the point of view of the draft of the hearth on the side of the boiling vessel and also from the point of view of the reduction of the interference of the re-entrants of these corrugations by. unburnt, when the re-entrants of the corrugations are released from their nozzle so as to allow the access of air immediately below these re-entrants. These then act like so many chimneys for the coal from the grate which has entered it, and this coal is burned much more completely.

Referring to figs. 1 and 2 of the drawings:
1 is the hearth or stove of the kitchen,
2 is the grid,
3 is the boiler pot which is removable and the front wall 4 of which is corrugated.
5 is the support plate of this boiler pot.
6 is an opening made in this plate at the base of the re-entrants.
The air from below enters through this opening and rises in the re-entrants, creating as many chimneys there and burning the collected coal. It is found that in this way the anterior wall becomes fouled much more difficult than in the case where the holes in question are absent, and that the draft of the fire on this side of the boiler pot is better.
Referring to freezes. 3 and 4:
1 is the furnace port, 5 is the boiler pot resting on supports 5 and 6. The air enters at the base 7 of each of the re-entrants of the corrugations of the wall 4 of the boiler pot.
