<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

Tubular boiler for central heating systems, hot water distributors or similar *
The invention relates to a boiler intended to give hot or very hot water or also steam for various applications. Special consideration is given to the boiler for central heating and hot water distribution installations, in which large and expensive element boilers have hitherto been used.
Oven to obtain a very rapid and very regular starting of the heating installation and an almost complete use of fuel, it is proposed, according to the invention, to connect the coils of the coil placed directly on the outside in a sealed manner. one on top of the other or the tubes placed next to each other by a welded joint or
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
by a sheet metal casing welded above and below the tubular system. In this way, the walls of the tubes are in direct contact with the hearth or the burnt gases, so that good heat transmission is obtained.
Above all, however, the upper surface of the heating chamber is considerably enlarged, because approximately half of the diameter of the tubes is suitable for the emission of heat. The ratio of the quantity of heat received by the water tubes by radiation relative to the total quantity of heat transmitted to the chamber of the hearth is in this mode of construction particularly favorable. Thanks to the welded joint made from the outside, or possibly to the welded sheet metal casing, it is obtained that harmful air cannot penetrate inside the boiler, so that it is possible to achieve correct adjustment of the air supply in the desired way by the ashtray door or by special valves.
The lower part of the boiler may consist of an annular chamber, which carries the grate inside and in which the firebox door and the ashtray door are arranged. The upper shut-off of the boiler can be carried out in various ways, for example on the coil with cylindrical winding or on the tubes arranged vertically next to each other a double-walled cap is placed, which is connected coil or tubes. In this cap is the charging port, the gas exhaust manifold and the heating fluid flow pipe. Instead of the cap, it is also possible to provide a tube wound in the form of a spiral, in the middle of which is arranged a cap provided with a charging port and the exhaust pipe.
As the upper part of the boiler, mainly in the case of high fuel loading, remains relatively cool, the plugging may
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
also be achieved using a simple cover with loading valve and exhaust pipes.
As the heating fluid flows from the bottom upwards in the boiler to heat up there and see its volume consequently increase, the internal diameter of the coil can increase upwards. This construction is especially recommended when there is no special collector for the heating fluid in the upper part of the boiler.
To avoid heat radiation to the outside, such a boiler can be surrounded 'in a known manner by an insulating layer, which is advantageously covered by a sheet metal jacket.
The heating mode of the boiler can be any; solid, liquid or gaseous fuel can be used, especially coke, fuel oil or gas; Thanks to the good use of the fuel, such a boiler is suitable, above all also for low value combustibles. This boiler not only allows intensive and smooth circulation in the boiler, but also in the entire tubular system. which is connected to it.
The drawing shows, in schematic section, by way of examples, several embodiments of the boiler according to the invention associated with a coal-fired fireplace.
According to Fig.l. the heating boiler consists for example of a chamber annula-ire lower douole wall 10, in which the water from the return piping is introduced through the pipe 11. The latter is connected tangentially to the annular chamber, so that water can freely enter and exit. Inside this annular chamber is the grid 12 above which the door 13 of the hearth is placed and below the door 14 of the ashtray.
The coil with turns is connected to the annular chamber 10
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
cylindrical 15, the turns of which are joined together on the outside in a sealed manner by an uninterrupted welded joint 16 in accordance with the invention. The upper shut-off of the boiler is achieved by means of a double-walled bonnet 17 with charging port 18, a gas outlet pipe 19 and the outlet pipe 20 for hot water. or steam.
The embodiment according to Fig. 2 relates to a boiler, the lower part of which is shaped in the same way, only here the upper shutter of the boiler is formed by a tube 21 wound in a spiral which connects to the cylindrical coil; 15. This spiral wound tube 21 has a larger diameter than the coil 15-, in order to compensate for the increase in volume of the heating fluid. The end of the spiral opens into a starting pipe 22, which directs the heating fluid to the points of use. In the middle of the spiral is provided a simple cap 3 provided with a loading orifice 24 arranged perpendicularly and an outlet pipe for the burnt gases.
The boiler according to Fig.3 comprises a coil whose diameter in zones 26, 27 and 28 is increasing. In zone 28 the diameter of the coil narrows to receive a cap 29 comprising a gas outlet pipe 30 directed towards the rear and a loading valve 31 disposed in the center.
While according to FIGS. 1 to 3, the tubular turns arranged directly one on top of the other are joined on the outside by the welded joint 16, in FIG. 4, the coil 32 is covered by a sheet metal casing. 33 which is joined together above and below in a watertight manner to the coil
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
by a respective welded joint 34. furnace discharge the welded joints in the event of possible expansion of the coil, the sheet metal casing 33; can be provided with corrugations 35. (see left of Fig.4). or the entire sheet metal casing 36 may be of corrugated shape (see to the right of FIG. 4).
As the upper part of the boiler remains relatively cold and thus additional heating of the heating fluid can no longer take place there, the boiler is, according to Fig. 4, closed by a simple cover 37 with loading valve 38 and tubing. - gas start lure 39.
Instead of a coil arranged vertically, it is also possible to mount, according to Fig. 5, on the lower annular cnambre 40 comprising the tangential inlet pipe 41 and the grid 42 of the vertical tubes 43, which are also welded externally one to the other. At the upper end is provided a cap 44 forming a collector for the heating fluid which escapes from it through a pipe 45. At the center of the manifold is a loading hopper 46 with valve 47 and pipe 48 for the outlet of the pipes. gas burned.
According to Fig. 6 and 7, the tubes 49 arranged side by side and welded together on the outside are mounted horizontally in approximately a semi-circle above the grid 50. At the front end of the boiler, the tubes 49 are connected to an annular chamber 51, into which the return heating water flows. In this -annular chamber, the opening 52 is provided for loading and firing the boiler. At the rear end, the tubes open into a closure chamber 53 comprising the hot water outlet 54 and the pipe 55 for the burnt gases.
Finally, Fig. 8 shows an embodiment comprising a horizontal and welded coil 56, in which the grill 57 is mounted ... Here also one can provide at the end
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
an annular chamber 58 and at the other end a closure chamber 59. The closure chambers 53 (according to Fig. 6 and 7) and 59 (Fig. 8) can also be constituted in the form of annular chambers.
In order to avoid losses of radiation, the boiler can be provided with an external isolation device. Thus, it is shown in Fig.l that the soda coil 15 is surrounded by an insulating layer 60, for example of slag wool or the like, which is protected by a sheet metal casing, 61 or the like. It goes without saying that the cross-section of the tubes can be chosen at will, so we can also use for these boilers tubes of oval or square cross-section. according to Fig. 9, it is also possible to provide between the welded coil 15 and a sheet metal casing 62 'instead of an insulating layer a small water chamber 63, the water mass of which is independent of the water heater and can be used, for example, to heat a hot water dispenser.
In this way, this result is obtained only in the heating zone of the boiler, all the heat released is transmitted to the coil and to this water chamber, whereby full use of the fuel is obtained. .
Simultaneously with the fact that the coil is cooled on its exterior face, a recirculation of water is obtained inside the tubular section, which improves the reception of heat by the heating water.
