' Sur chacune de ces broches vient s'articuler une armature
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

heat for all applications.
In the annexed Metz which represent, by way of example of embodiment of the invention, various embodiments of transformable utensils:
Fig.l is a diametral section of a first embodiment of the utensil,
Fig. 2 is a schematic cross section on a reduced scale along II-II of fig.l,. Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the utensil turned upside down,
Fig. 4 is a detail of a support and maneuvering element,
Fig. 5 is a partial elevation of the utensil used retort warmer, heater, etc.
Fig. 6 shows a variant for the use of the roasting oven retort utensil,
Freezes. 7, 8, 9 show the application of the invention to a container provided with a lid,
Figa. 10 and 11 are diagrams showing variations of the belt for the utensil.
In the embodiment of fig.l, the utensil comprises a kind of cup 1 which can be established in any substance going to fire, such as for example terracotta, porcelain, cast iron, enamelled or not. , or any other material, with a bottom 2, for example flat, while the edges 3 have an outer groove 4 intended to receive a belt (fig.2) preferably established in two elements joined by pins 6 held by screwing or other.
'On each of these pins is articulated a frame
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
wire frame 7, having la.forme shown in fig.4, and comprising eyes 8 engaging so as to be able to pivot on the pins 6. The frame elements end beyond the eyes 8 in kinds 9 feet, while on the other side of the eyes they form a sort of continuous handle 10.
This arrangement thus makes it possible to use the reinforcement
7 as a handle for the handling, the utensil
1 then constituting a baking dish or other, the frame elements 7 then occupying the position shown in Figs. 2 and 3.
Oh can also, after having brought the cup or utensil the & suitable temperature by direct contact or not with a flame, use it as a plate warmer, heater or other, by then bringing each armature 7, by pivoting, around the pins 6, in the position indicated in fig. 5, for which this frame makes contact; with a support surface 11 such as a table or the like, by its feet 9 and by its part forming a handle 10, thus constituting a support for a great stability for the utensil 1, without allowing the latter to come into contact with the table or other support surface 11.
The utensil can have, retort shown in fig, 6, the volume of an oven base 12 by providing around its periphery a base 13 intended to receive, with a suitable seal, a bell 14 constituting a portable oven.
The bottom wall 15 of the plinth 12 is preferably corrugated, as shown in Fig. 6, so as to allow this surface to be used as a grill, the plinth 12 being applied to a suitable heat source. base 12 may be equipped with a handling device similar to that indicated in
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
in figs. 1 to 5, but one could also, as seen in fig.6, make in the thickness of the base 12, perforations 15 intended to directly receive the pins such as 6 of fig.2.
The bell 14 constituting the oven is provided with an operating handle 17, which can be fixed to this bell in any suitable manner, but, preferably, by crimping passing the lateral uprights 18 of this handle through the corresponding perforations. from the bottom of the bell 14.
A similar arrangement of handle 17 is applicable to the cover 19 of a container 20 of larger dimension, usable for example as a pot or similar utensil, provided with a transport belt 21.
This belt comprises, as can be seen more particularly in frozen form. 8 and 9, a hook or other fastening device 22 for receiving a connecting rod 23 hinged on the other hand to the cover 19, thus allowing the cover to be anchored either in the position of fig. 8 to ensure its drainage. towards the inside of the pot, or in the position of fig. 9, to allow it to drain outwards.
The arrangement of the fastening belt, instead of presenting the arrangement of the preceding figures, could offer the arrangement of fig. 10: the two half-belts 5 having an arrangement similar to that of fig. 2 are connected. on the one hand by a rigid link 24 connected to these two half-belts by closed articulations, and, on the other hand, by a link 25 connected to one of the half-belts by a closed articulation 26 and to the another half-belt by an open hook 27 allowing the easy installation and removal of said belt.
We could also, as shown in fig.ll, use @ a
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
a belt 28 in one piece, comprising at appropriate points, folds 29 which may be more or less accentuated when the belt is put in place so as to ensure that said belt is held in position.
The groove formed in the cup or container 1 may have any desired shape with a flared rectangular circular profile or the like and the container or utensil itself may have any shape other than that indicated. and any desired capacity.
The maneuvering or support elements may have any dimension and be made of any material having sufficient strength and flexibility.
The invention is applicable as a kitchen utensil for the preparation of food, as a plate warmer, hotplate, etc ....
