de Device for sharpening blades / mowers.
The object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for sharpening mower blades, characterized by a grinding wheel, the profile of which has an inclination corresponding to that of the teeth of the blade to be sharpened, this grinding wheel being moved in the direction of its axis, while the frame carrying the blade moves perpendicular to the axis of this grinding wheel, the combination of these two movements having the effect of ensuring the sharpening of the entire edge, of the tooth .
One embodiment is characterized by two grinding wheels animated with opposite axial displacements one of. the other, these two grindstones each sharpening a side of the blade.
According to a variant, the frame supporting the blade is mounted in an oscillating manner on the general frame of the apparatus, which enables the blade to be displaced perpendicular to the axis of the grinding wheel.
According to another variant, the oscillations of the chss.is

supporting the blade are controlled by the mechanism ie cnr.urtmnde which ensures the displacement of the grindstones so that the a ± ± ùt <ce of a. # n & no edge is obtained with a single maneuver.
The invention also extends to other characteristics described below and to their various combinations.

One of the ends 181, 18 of each arm-17, 172 receives the sharpening blade 19, This blade 19 is fixed to the arm.
181, 182 using plates 201, 202, screwed by bolts 211,212.
The ends of the arms 171, 172 opposite to the blade 19 receive an adjustable counterweight 211, 212, this counterweight balancing the weight of the blade 19,
This device works as follows:
The grinding wheels 31, 32, rotating along fl, each sharpen a slope 241, 242 of one of the teeth 34 of the blade 19. The inclination of the profile of each grinding wheel 31, 32 corresponds to that of the teeth such as 24. .
To sharpen the totality of each slope 241, 242, we move aside only 31,32, along f2, f3 using the lever 12 which is then turned along f4 by acting on its handle 13. At the same time, the blade-holder frame 4, driven by the tenon 35, moves along f5 perpendicular to the axis of the grinding wheels 31, 3, which constantly maintains the angle of attack of the blade 19 by the grinding wheels 31, 32.
When the two sides 241, 242 of tooth 24 are sharpened, in their entirety, we move on to the next tooth by sliding the arms 171, 172 on their shaft 16 along f6. At the same time, the grinding wheels 31, 32 are returned to their initial position by turning the lever 12 in the opposite direction to f4.
Another cycle of operations begins. and all the teeth of the blade 19 are thus successively affiliated.
To obtain uniform sharpening of all the teeth, the stroke of the lever 12, 13 can be limited by adjustable stops.
Ultimately, according to the invention, an apparatus is produced which makes it possible to quickly and precisely sharpen the blades of the mowers.
